Please send us a message with the time you are looking to come so we can give you a list of things that will happen at the time. We always need a lot of DIY help, at the moment we are plastering, building a Pergola and a wall is next. And the garden will need some digging and landscaping and planting. In the house there is always stuff to do as well like cleaning/cooking for everyone.

We are looking for open communication, people who love to be active, work with their hands, swim, love kids and nature and are happy to be part of our journey of creating a beautifull home here. There is a bus that takes you to Chania and Rethymno and we are happy to also do some excursions together. We enjoy having a group of people from different backgrounds around and a lot of the time there is 4-6 workawayers with us which has been great fun.

Abby even took some amazing family pictures of us. We hope to see them again sometime!
It's been years since I volunteered and I'd forgotten how much perspective can be gained by jumping into the unknown. And I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable landing 🙂

he has a lot of enthusiasm and was so nice with the kids as well. He got on with all the different jobs we had to do on the building site and was always fun and full of energy. We would highly recommend him!
and what can I say? It was great. I came with the thought of staying some days, a week maybe. It ended in three weeks and the save plan to return :).

My days went like this, I would wake up around 7.30 and eat breakfast, then begin work at around 8, which consisted of sanding wooden beams, removing paint from a set of stairs and building a natural staircase in the back garden. I would work until around 13:00 and would then eat lunch with the family.
