Description
We have a big yard with garden, pool, trampoline, swings and small orchard. We have 2 children (age 5, age 1). We live 10 mins to the base of our local ski/bike hill, and have countless mountian bike trails right out our front yard! Husband and wife spent most of our lives working in the mountains, as ski patrol and mountain bike athlete/coach. Our house is located only 5 kms from a big beautiful lake and ocean beaches. Cumberland is centrally located on Vancouver Island, and is ideal for exploring! We have family in Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Tacoma, Sooke and Tofino! Come help us take care of life for a while. My husband will be doing some renovations this summer and we could use either help cleaning our home, looking after the kids or help with the renovation. Looking for just a couple months as this will be our first host experience. Might be open to longer term arrangement for the right person.

We have a big yard in an amazing town. Cumberland is the perfect mix of adventure, biking, skiing, hiking, ocean sports and arts/music. We get some incredible bands here and the music scene is really vibrant. We see centrally located on Vancouver Island and you can see so much within a few hours of driving, from old growth forests to world renowned beaches and incredible hiking/biking trails. Much less touristy than Whistler and Vancouver.

Aide
Looking for exchange of room and board for either construction labour or child care and some cleaning, cooking, house or yard work. Would be interested in a worker who can stay 1-3 months. Children are aged 5, and 1. Easy going fun kids who are way more chill than any other kids we know haha.

Hébergement
You will have your own room in a big house, as well as a semi private bathroom and living room. House is two levels and we rarely use the downstairs bathroom and living room. I am a avid cook and love to make interesting and healthy meals. We eat meat but try to do a few vegetarian meals a week. We will feed you unless you prefer to buy your own food.

We can help you get connected with places to stay in many places in BC, especially resort towns like Tofino Whistler, Vancouver and Victoria. We have lots of friends and family for you to connect with. We are low key mountain people. We don't like drugs, no pot smoking on the property and heavy drinking is not permitted. We are usually sleeping by 9pm and up at 7. Expectations include healthy lifestyle, family oriented and adventurous!
