  Description

  We live in rural Brittany, 30 minutes from the beautiful and dramatic coast in a secluded spot 10 minutes from a typical Breton town (GUINGAMP) with all facilities. The sea and beaches are 30 minutes by car, We are both University teachers, bilingual in both French and English. The story starts in 1997, buying an old Breton Manor house in 5 acres of agricultural land. A thousand trees were planted in 2001 and are all now mature which has transformed the landscape into a refuge for nature. They are now being thinned around the property and are being used in creating garden features. We both have a wide range of skills and interests which we would love to share with others. I am a qualified Horticulturalist and have extensive experience in gardens, design and landscape. The garden since its planting twenty five years ago requires some renovation and we have garden machinery and a well equipped workshop to cope with most situations and if someone is interested we also brew very agreeable beer. If you want to learn any new practical skills, I have much to offer.
  My partner teaches language and theatre to all ages and nationalities. Having travelled widely ourselves we are both sociable and open-minded and have an open-house mentality to kindred spirits.

  As we are teachers, those who want to learn French or English would be professionally taught and introduced to the French culture and wider community from within our own family/social circle which is predominantly French. Learn about trees from felling to transformation into usable timber. Learn about gardens, plants and maintenance. Learn how to brew beer!
