Description
Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m 61 years old and have been lucky enough to call the south of France home for the past 32 years. I speak both English and French. Before settling here, I spent years travelling the world — and I still love to explore whenever I can and connect with others who share that same curiosity and love of adventure.
For the past three decades, I’ve lived in this beautiful area and truly cherish it for its gentle climate, stunning colours, nearby mountains, peaceful walks, and overall sense of calm.
If you love nature and are dreaming of a quiet winter escape, I’d be delighted to welcome you.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

I have two wonderful grown-up children in their 30s who both live nearby. Like me, they’re open-minded, creative, and love to travel, so there’s always a warm and friendly energy around. We often share meals, go for walks, visit local markets, or just enjoy a relaxed evening with good conversation. The local community is welcoming and there are plenty of chances to connect — whether it’s at cafés, village events, concerts, or weekend outings in nature.
I’ve lived in this region for over 30 years and know the area inside out — from hidden walking trails to the best spots for local produce and wine. I’m happy to share tips about living in France, language (English/French), travel experiences, and anything I’ve learned from a creative, hands-on life here. I love exchanging ideas and learning new things, so conversations often flow easily and naturally.
Meeting people from around the world is one of the best parts of hosting. I love hearing different perspectives, discovering new traditions, recipes, music, and ways of living. It keeps life interesting and inspiring. I hope to share a little piece of my world here while learning from yours — creating genuine connections that go beyond just a stay.Aide

I'm happy to speak in either language and often mix up the two but helping you with the grammar of either is not my forteHébergement

I rarely eat three full meals a day, but when possible I love cooking and eating together. For food shopping, we can just work things out as we go along to keep it simple and flexible.Autres infos...
Anduze is a beautiful little town full of charm, sunshine, and nature. On your days off, you can explore the lovely cobbled streets, enjoy a coffee at one of the cafés, or wander around the famous weekly market filled with local produce, crafts, and delicious treats.
Nature lovers will be in heaven here — there are plenty of walking and hiking trails in the surrounding Cévennes National Park, rivers for swimming or kayaking in the warmer months, and peaceful spots to simply relax and soak in the scenery.
Anduze is well connected by bus and train to nearby cities. The closest bigger train station is in Nîmes, and from there you can easily travel to Montpellier, Avignon, or even the coast. There are regular local buses between Nîmes, Alès, and Anduze, and cycling around the area is also a lovely option if you enjoy biking.
I enjoy a peaceful and relaxed way of life, so I prefer to keep the house calm and quiet — it’s not a party place. I really value a respectful and considerate atmosphere, where everyone can unwind and feel at home.
Of course, I love good conversation, shared meals, and a bit of laughter, but quiet evenings and a calm environment suit me best.Informations complémentaires
