Description
** We are looking for helpers mid November for 1/2 weeks and February and March for pruning the vineyard and the olive trees **
Would you like to help inside a typical Tuscan countryside farm? You are highly welcome!
You will have the opportunity to help my husband Armando and my two children, Giada and Carlo, in the daily work of our small farm near Florence. We have a small vineyard and olive trees that produce wine and olive oil. We also make hay, vegetables, fruits and chickpeas.
There is a lot of work to do on the farm such as pruning, weeding, gardening, harvesting and general maintenance. The work is often physical but you will be staying in good company with Armando, Carlo and Giada and maybe other Workawayers!
We all speak Italian and German very well, and we all speak a good English.
Our house is located in the Upper Arno Valley, between Florence and Arezzo only a few km from the nearest town. The place is really nice and not crowded at all. Florence can be reached by a 30 min drive and there is also public transportation like trains to Florence, Arezzo and Siena.
We are looking for people who can stay at least one week, but two weeks is the recommended period if you want to learn some Italian, some techniques and a lot more from our farm life.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We live in a very nice valley between Florence and Arezzo so there are endless possibilities for exploring this wonderful part of Tuscany.Aide
As you may know in a farm there's always something to do. Such as: pruning, weeding, gardening, harvesting and general maintenance. In the summer days can get hot so we will try to adapt to the heat but some works need to be done anyway so keep that in mind.
We expect the workawayers to help maximum 25 hours a week (five hours for five days). We ask for a little flexibility as some days the working hours could be split or moved to the afternoon.Langues parlées

At first he helped us picking grapes in our Chianti vineyard. He was always interested in what we were doing, asking questions and learning something new about wine making.
After that, we were pruning olive trees, cutting trees and blackberries, which was… read more
