I wasnt alone in that time and that was amazing. So if you wanna meet new people and find a secound family - go and stay at the Farm for a couple of weeks. Its worth it :ribbon:

Shandelle is an amazing woman and Evelyn an adorable girl, from the first day they have made me feel one more of the family. I've been taught a lot of things about the farm and animals, I've learned more than I could imagine. I'Ll be Back again because three weeks have made me short and I need more! It Has been a perfect and intense experience!
… read more The Farm is beautiful and a lot of beautiful animals. They help me a lot when I needed, so friendly,nice and kind family!! Besides working there you have time to enjoy the wonderful scenery that offers the island, which are amazing! I totally Recommend going to be with this beautiful and wonderful family! It Is One of the most enriching experiences I have ever had in my life! Especially Unforgettable! I will be back for sure!! I don’t even know where to start. First of all, I had the most amazing time living with Shandalle, Kevin, Everly and Keyshook! They made me feel like I am home from day one! I felt so comfortable and as part of the family. I am so grateful for meeting these guys! I ended up staying longer than we first discussed, as it just worked out so well. I
… read more was allowed to stay a week longer, even though another workawayer started that week. They just made it work for both of us and I helped the other workawayer to settle in, as it was her first workaway experience.
Mornings started sometime around 8:30. Whenever I heard them getting up, I would get up as well and come upstairs. Sometimes we would just watch Everly play, other times I started folding some laundry, prepare breakfast or I’d watch Everly so Shandelle was able to take a shower. Afterwards we usually drove to the barn and hoped that Everly would fall asleep on the way. If she didn’t, I would put her in the backpack and start mocking out the horse pan so Shandelle was able to either train Fia or sort some other things out that needed to be done. When Everly fell asleep in the car or eventually in the stroller, Shandelle would train me how to lunge Karlo. She always said that he was my little project and I loved that she trusted me to train him! In those 4 weeks she has taught me so much and she even took me on my very first trai ride!
In the afternoons we would just kinda relax or do whatever, watching Everly play and just talk. Most of the times either Shandelle or Kevin would make dinner, sometimes I did. One night we all made Sushi and it was the best I ever had!
So all in all I kinda just did what I thought needed to be done to help. It never felt like work, it just felt like being part of the family and do the family chores, depending on what was going on that day. Either in the house, watching Everly or getting groceries.
In exchange I just had the most terrific time! I have learned so much about horses, Kevin took me Paragliding (!!!!!!!) and I feel like I have found a second family I can always come back to!

Neele is a loyal, caring and a hardworking fantastic individual .
She helps care for my daughter as if she was her own . My 9 month old daughter squeals with excitement to see her every morning .
Neele pays close attention to detail . She performs tasks without even being told . She is so helpful and thoughtful I wish she could stay with our
… read more family forever ! My daughter always has a clean diaper and a full tummy . Neele helps my daughter explore books , plants , animals . She is always singing to my daughter making the energy so positive and uplifting .
Neele helps care for my two horses and my husky dog . She is currently learning how to train one horse and is doing a fantastic job . With her calm and understanding energy she is teaching the horse how to trust and learn . Neele is very dedicated and trains this horse everyday during her free time .
Neele is very respectful and neat and tidy. She is always up for new challenges and adventures .
Anyone who has Neele in their home will me more then satisfied and make a new friend for life .

I've met Shandelle, Kevin and Everly a couple months ago and their family is absolutely awesome. Shandelle is a horse trainer and she gave me a lot of good advices how to ride a horse more corectly, etc. She's a loving mum and her daughter is so sweet and friendly baby.

Christina is a very hard worker . Always looking ahead and finding things to help with before even being asked .
My 8month old daughter adores her . Christina is very thoughtful and caring and pays close attention to detail. She ensures my girl is clean safe and engaged. Christina takes my daughter for walks, horse rides and sings and plays with

Christina also helps care for my horses and always insures their health and safety is in perfect condition . Always notifiying me if something is different of concerning .
Christina is very organized . She plans meals in advanced which is something I appriecate very much .
I highly recommend Christina as a child care hand or any hand . You will be more then pleased to have the assistance of Christina .

Jo helped me with my daughter when ever needed ! She went up and beyond helping around the house ! A very self motivated intelligent lady who is a pleasure being around. Took care of the garden and dog. Fit right into our family and lifestyle.
