Description
Hi, My name is Gerardo and I live in the mountains of Peru, a city named Cajabamba. I like to live surrounded by nature, hike, cook and eat healthy, mostly vegetarian with the occasional fish
My place is two hours from Cajamarca as well, a nice city in the mountains, from there you can make your way into the jungle if you are interested.
I am growing sugar cane, tara (taya) and fruit trees in an organic way. The process is slow but rewarding. I hope I can continue doing that with your help!
I am an on line Spanish teacher. If you need lessons feel free to contact me. I believe i have an interesting easy going way to teach My language.

You can learn how we live and grow food in the mountains. I can get you in contact with Andean people so you got the opportunity to interact with them. I can help with translation or teaching you Spanish. I can be your guide around this town and the mountains surrounding it.

Cajabamba and the valleys surrounding the city have a lot to offer in regards to nature and hiking. There are hot springs that we can visit together.
Cajabamba is a small nice town where you can find anything you want. It is 25 minutes from my place and there are 'colectivos' every 15 minutes.
** To get to my place you 've got to take a six hours bus from Trujillo or a 'colectivo' if you are in Cajamarca.
**From Lima you can take a one hour flight to Cajamarca or take a 16 hours bus ride to Cajabamba which is the nearest town.

It was really nice of him that he let us stay at his house in Trujillo before going to the valley because we couldn’t go sooner.
