Ytsen is a very nice visitor. We had a lot of nice time together. Although he only stayed for about 10 days. It is easy to have a nice conversation and also easy to cooperate, when we do manual things together. Ytsen is skilled and know a lot about practical issues.Ytsen is focused on details and persistent.

We did not use much time to show Ytsen around, because he used our bicycle to go around alone.
He is trustworthy and cooperative and we recommends Ytsen for another host.

Do you like to enjoy beautiful nature and cities while helping in the garden and in/around the house? Would you like to learn more about Denmark's culture and rich history? If so, then this place is for you!
Anders and Birgitte have a cosy house in the south of Denmark on the island Als, quite close to the German border. In the garden and
… read more greenhouse there's a wide variety of flowers, fruits and vegetables growing, and there's also some chickens and ducks that call this place home.
During my stay of around 11 days I helped mainly with some construction, gardening and renovation work. Examples include making a new fence with gate for the chickens, doing ground work for a new patio, making firewood, and some small indoor repairs.
On your days off you can explore the beautiful island of Als. There's something here for everybody. The cities Augustenborg and Sønderborg offer nice architecture and parks, while the nature around these areas have beautiful forests and coastal hiking/cycling routes.
There's a comfortable balance between help/free time, and Birgitte's cooking is amazing! Also, Anders has plenty of stories to tell you about the country, culture, history, and much much more! And if you like to learn about physics, chemistry and biology, then he might be able to teach you on these topics as well ;)
To top it all off, Anders and Birgitte are an amazing couple that have done - and still do - great things for the local communities in Tanzania.

All words are short to describe the amazing experience in Birgitte and Ander´s place. From the very first moment they picked me from the train station, they showed me and explained everything, were so easy going, cheerfull, helpful and made me really feel like a member of the family. I stayed with them for 2 months and the time flew by!
They have

Being with them is a great cultural inmersion, such a interesting couple and so pleased to teach about their habits, traditions, culinary culture (Birgitte cooks so tasty!). I miss our chats!
Anders know how to fix everything and he got a bike ready for me so I have such a great time biking aroud to other villages, forests and the beach.
Thank you for sharing so much with me Birgitte and Anders!

I really appreciate them because they are so kind. They taught us many things like their lifestyle, way of thinking, how to make breads, local history and so on. We usually feeded ducks, managed their lovely garden and painted the frames of the window. When we were free, we went to the beach by bicycle that they lent us. I had great experiences
