Lena and Nina stayed with us for approx. 2.5 weeks. We would have happily hosted them for longer! They were both very easily integrated into our family and worked with care and diligence on every task they were given. They were also very independent in being able to happily make themselves breakfast and lunch from the makings in our kitchen.
… read more Overall, we really enjoyed the cultural exchange and the many fun times had all together, not to mention all the piles of work they completed for us - including interior painting, lots of mucking of stalls, garden and pathway weeding, planting etc! They also left their room immaculate:) we miss them already and would happily host either of them back anytime! Any host would benefit from their hard work and openness to joining in on family activities and adventures!

We highly recommend anyone who wants to experience the Canadian life(with plenty of hockey and Tim Hortons haha) to do a workaway here. They are amazingly accommodating when our starting date got moved and we stayed with some of their awesome friends (hi Dwayne and Maria!). Elaine and Taylor were excellent! A great opportunity to any family who are looking to get a lot of help and also enjoy the company of these very easily integrated women! These ladies worked very hard for me and were super enjoyable to host! They did everything from physically intense farm chores, winter farm prep and helping to educate and

Luise was wonderful and easily fit into the family. My sons loved playing with her and we enjoyed chatting with her. Things were not ideal because of the pandemic but Luise made the best of it with us and was one of the hardest working travellers we have ever hosted. It was wonderful to have her with us and we would happily welcome her back

I had a really great time at the Farm. They made me feel so welcome at their home and Heidi always made sure I was comfortable. It was a difficult time due to Covid 19, so I couldn't enjoy the area that much, but they still tried to show me around and took me on a short hike and a boat tour. They even let me stay longer, cause my other plans got

We’ve spent one week with Heidi and her family. The pick up from Nanaimo and the warm welcoming was just the beginning. Marie was a perfect match for our farm and family. She was easy to incorporate into our daily life and was not afraid of some very hard work. The tasks we had to get through were particularly intensive as we prep the farm for winter but Marie cheerfully dug in to each task and did each job with dedication and thoroughly. I enjoyed my stay with Heidi and Kelly soo much! I was welcomed warmly into their family and they made me feel comfortable immediately!
During my stay I mainly helped in the household and did some gardening work, and Heidi alsways made sure that I was comfortable with doing the work!
Aside from that I also felt integrated into their everyday

Heidi brought me along to her Yoga classes, I got to see Lincoln in a play with his drama class at school and I even got the chance to join the whole family on a day trip in their boat! That was really wonderful! Also I always enjoyed spending time with Jack and Lincoln, whether we went for a bike ride, had an ice cream together or just spent some time in the garden - it was always great fun being surrounded by so much energy!

I had the most incredible time staying with Heidi and her lovely family! Their home is in a beautiful peaceful location with a relaxed atmosphere, just a 20 minute walk from the Cowichan Bay shops and harbour. Not only are they self motivated and completed a great number of projects for us, but they were a pleasure to learn from and blended in with our family routine flawlessly! Heidi and Kelly are amazing hosts.
They made us feel at home from the second we stepped through the door. This is a lovely rural setting great for relaxing and taking respite from traveling while feeling useful and getting jobs done. Good for short work aways (1-2 weeks). They have so many different pets and small farm animals, it was great
