Description
In 2014, my spouse Beatrice and I chose a unique lifestyle, settling in rural Quebec with a vision to live off the land. Our 160-acre homestead, rich with forests and fruit trees, lies between Papineauville and Montebello, near the Ottawa River.
We dedicate ourselves to nurturing the land, which provides for us in abundance. From our bustling apiary to the aromatic spice and vegetable gardens, every part of our land is utilized. In addition to farming, we craft homemade goods like apple delicacies and fresh bread.
My roots are in Estonia and Beatrice is French Canadian. We have two young sons who juggle their time between school, daycare, and exploring our property. Our location, close to a major tourist attraction - the world's largest log structure, adds charm to our vibrant rural life.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

You can take part in making homemade goods, bread and other garden products (depends on the season).
You will be rewarded by seeing how your work can change things and you will learn to value your work:)
If you like to hike in the forest, read or just sit quietly after the tasks are done, then this is the place for you.Aide
I have done farming now for about 10 years and i'm still learning a lot as I go. I need help, for example, building using the lumber from my forest, taking care the trees, manage the vegetable garden and all other kinds of odd jobs.
As i can teach volunteers, a volunteer can guide me as well.Langues parlées

We are located 80 km from Ottawa and 120 from Montreal. On your free time you can visit either of those cities or go for bike rides (I have bikes to lend) around the beautiful area. We have long hiking trails on the property which offer the possibility to get lost for an afternoon while exploring and discovering the local nature and wildlife, including deer and wild turkeys.
