Hello everyone! Our family consists of Anabel (me 😉), Ferran, and our 6-year-old son, Nil! We live in Formentera, a charming little island in the Mediterranean! We're dreamers, fun-loving parents, and we adore the sea and nature! We love to travel, meet people from other countries, and learn from everyone and everything! Having an au pair in our family would be a huge help, as we're quite busy during peak season, and it would help us better balance work and family! Important detail: We have a dog and a cat 🐱🐶. Formentera is a very touristy island, so most of the residents work in tourism. In my case, I own a clothing store, which my grandmother and mother started 50 years ago! Ferran, my partner, is a firefighter and works three shifts a month in Barcelona, so he's usually away for two or three days each week. Nil goes to summer school in the mornings from 9 am to 2 pm! As for me, I only work mornings, and in the afternoons we always try to enjoy the island together, go to the beach, and have a great time!
Formentera is an island you can reach by sea from Ibiza. It's small, but in the summer, there's a lot going on, as it's a tourist island and many people come and there are lots of activities organized. It's a paradise in the Mediterranean, and you'll fall in love with its beaches! If you like the sea and small towns, this is the place for you! Having your own vehicle is very helpful for getting around the island. You can sometimes use our car for your personal use, as long as you cover the gas costs! There's also the option of getting around by bus, which is frequent in the summer and is just a minute from our apartment!
Hola a tod@s!! Nuestra familia está formada por Anabel (yo 😉) Ferran y nuestro hijo de 6 años, Nil! somos una família que vive en Formentera, una pequeña isla del mediterraneo con mucho encanto! Somos unos padres soñadores, vividores, amantes del mar y de la naturaleza! nos encanta viajar, conocer gente de otros paises y aprender de todo y de tod@s!! Contar con un aupair en nuestra familia seria de mucha ayuda para nosotros pues en temporada alta tenemos bastante trabajo y nos ayudaría a conciliar mejor el trabajo y la familia! Dato importante! Tenemos un perro y un gato 🐱🐶
Formentera es una isla muy turística por lo que la mayoría de residentes trabajamos con el turismo. En mi caso, tengo una tienda de ropa, que empezó mi abuela y mi madre hace 50 años! Ferran, mi pareja, es bombero y trabaja en Barcelona 3 turnos al mes, por lo que se suele ausentar 2/3 días cada semana. Nil va al cole de verano por la mañana de 9 a 14 horas! Respecto a mi, trabajo solo por las mañanas y por las tardes intentamos siempre disfrutar todos juntos de la isla, ir a la playa y pasarlo bien!
Formentera es una isla a la que se accede por mar desde Ibiza. Es pequeña pero en verano pasan miles de cosas, ya que al ser una isla turística viene mucha gente y se organizan muchas actividades. Es un paraíso en el mediterráneo y te enamoras de sus playas!! Si te gusta el mar y los pueblos pequeños, este es tu sitio!! Tener un vehiculo propio ayuda mucho a moverse por la isla. En ocasiones podrá hacer uso de nuestro coche para su uso personal, siempre que se ocupe de los gastos de gasolina! Existe la posibilidad de moverse en autobús, que em verano es frecuente y está a 1 minuto de nuestro apartamento!

In our free time, we love meeting up with people and doing things. Going to the beach, going boating, diving, cycling, walking, throwing parties at home, and dancing! We're a big group of friends and we have a great time! Formentera lets you enjoy its natural beauty and meet people if you'd like!
En nuestro tiempo libre nos encanta quedar con gente y hacer cosas. Ir a la playa, salir en barco, bucear, ir en bici, pasear, organizar guateques en casa y bailar!! Somos un grupo bien grande de amigos y nos lo pasamos bien!
Formentera te permite disfrutar de su naturaleza y conocer a gente si te apetece!

Our idea is to have someone help with Nil and some household tasks during the summer months! It would be wonderful to find an au pair who knows how to cook! We're open to negotiating with the person regarding everyone's needs! What would really help us is having someone pick Nil up from summer school and give us two afternoons to ourselves so Nil can be with the au pair at the beach or doing some other activity. Also, since Nil is a very active child who doesn't nap, going to bed at 8 pm every day, we'd also like to have three or four days free to go out for dinner! We're very flexible and easygoing 🙂 We would put him to bed, and the au pair would only need to be at home in case he wakes up, which almost never happens because he sleeps through the night!
Nuestra idea es tener una ayuda con Nil y alguna tarea de casa en los meses de verano! Sería maravilloso encontrar un aupair que sepa cocinar! Estamos abiertos a negociar con la persona sobre las necesidades de todos! Lo que si que nos ayudaría mucho es recoger a Nil de la escuela de verano y tener 2 tardes para nosotros y que Nil este con la au pair en la playa o haciendo cualquier actividad. Además como Nil és un niño muy activo que no hace siesta, cada día se va a dormir a las 20pm por lo que también nos gustaría tener 3 o 4 días para poder salir a cenar! Somos muy flexibles y muy fáciles 🙂 nosotros lo pondríamos a dormir y la aupair solo tendría que estar en casa por si se despierta, que casi nunca suele pasar porque duerme del tirón toda la noche!

Our house is a large, spacious country house in the middle of the woods with sea views. We stay here during the winter, and for the three peak summer months, we move to the center of the island, closer to my work, where we have an apartment. In both locations, our au pair will have a large bedroom with a double bed and her own bathroom. We will try to make her feel at home and integrate her into our family as one of our own! The person staying with us will have access to whatever food they would like. They can eat with us or on their own, whichever they prefer. We would love to welcome them into our family and share culinary recipes together.
Nuestra casa es una casa de campo grande y espaciosa, en medio del bosque y con vistas al mar. En invierno estamos aquí y los 3 meses centrales de verano nos mudamos al centro de la isla, mas cerca de mi trabajo, donde tenemos un apartamento.
Tanto en un sitio como en otro nuestra au pair tendra una habitacion grande con cama de matrimonio y su propio baño. Intentaremos que se sienta como en su casa y la integraremos en nuestra familia como una más!
