Help with DIY and family life close to Città di Castello, Italy

  Description

  I'm a single middle aged man living in Umbria, Italy. I have a 17 year old daughter who stays with me about 2 days a week and spends the rest of her time with her Mum or boyfriend. I'm a professional violinist, do some teaching in schools and have a pretty laid back, non confrontational view towards life. I live in the middle of very beautiful countryside but am only 10 mins drive from Città di Castello (a busy medium sized market town) and about 50 mins from the larger historical towns of Arezzo and Perugia. I'm offering full and unlimited use of my car together with the use of a bike for more local excursions. The projects I'm working on are simply to finish off my near completed home (Only light finishing work) and sorting out the basics of my garden. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and short car drives will take you to any number of hilltop towns, mountains, rivers and natural beauty.

  I compose music, have a beautiful recording studio and have a large number of instruments and keyboards around the house which can be played. I'm well educated and love to chat and exchange views and experiences. This part of Italy is full of artistic and cultural gems, historical towns and natural beauty. In the 25 years I've lived here I've never run out of interesting cultural things to do.

  Aide

  The main thing I need is a good reliable driver to take my daughter to and from her school bus stop in Città di Castello (10 mins drive) once or twice a week. There would be some driving me around (I can't drive) but nothing excessive since I'm not a party animal! Other than that (as mentioned above) some gardening work and perhaps the odd DIY project, but nothing excessive. Someone with some plumbing skills would be a bonus since I have to fit a bath and bidet into my second bathroom but it is not essential.

  Hébergement

  As you will see in the photo, I'm offering you a private bedroom/sitting room with sofa and coffee table etc. This will be your own private space. The bathroom (Wash basin, bath/shower, bidet and WC) will be shared just with my daughter who will only be around 1 to 2 days a week. The communal lounge has comfortable chairs, a wood burning stove, TV and a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer. There is a long balcany off from the lounge/dining area with ample space for eating outside. There is a large garden, lounger beds and tables etc. for your use.

  You will have full use of my car and be able to explore many of the natural and cultural wonders of this beautiful part of Italy just on the boarders of Tuscany and le Marche.
