Description
Hello every body out there my name is Sebastian, we have an small isolated Ecolodge and 80 ha Nature Reserve located 4 hours away from Cali, in Bahia Malaga Colombian Pacific Coast. We are right on the beach! with the mangroves and the rain forest as the back yard. We have been living here since 2005 with the goal of conserve this slice of paradise. Our mainly tasks here are: beach clean ups, plastic classification, gardening, permaculture and the ecolodge activities.
The staff can change depends of the season in high season we can be till 6 persons three persons in the kitchen, one person doing construction work and two running the place
This place is perfect fit for open mind, proactive, hard workers, easy going and independent people who likes layback beach lifestyle and want to have an off grid experience, connecting with nature in a pristine paradise.
Living off grid in the tropics means physical work, sweat, to get dirty and wet, so you must be in good mental shape as physical. Sharing and living with new people, that don't speak your language could be overhwelming or fun anyways is important to be open to practice Spanish if you do not speak it (the only person that speak english is me).
We have a solar energy system in the main house where is possible to charge phones, is the only place where we have electricity and we only charge devices between 9 am and 4 pm. There is signal and data if you have a sim card, there is no wifi. We have compost toilets and the manure we use it like fertilizer for the fruit trees and the gardens.
The main protein we eat here is fish, is possible to have a vegetarian option if you are vegetarian or if you do not eat fish.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Perfect place to practice spanish and learn about AFRO COLOMBIAN pacific and culture and to learn how to live off grid in the tropics. We have been making beach clean ups since 2005 so is a good opportunity to learn about recycling in our jungle recycling station and to help to conserve this slice of paradise.
good opportunity to connect with nature and for your personal grow.Aide
