  Description

  My name is Renate and I was a hotel clerk by profession. Moved from Oberstdorf im Allgäu, I have been living in Heidelberg for four years, in a small city apartment with a balcony and a dog (4.3 kilos). In my free time I go all the way by bike, play a little tennis, sometimes chess, sing in a choir, explore the surrounding area with NABU (Germany's Nature Conservation Association), among others
  
  Ich heiße Renate und war von Beruf Hotelkauffrau. Zugezogen von Oberstdorf im Allgäu, wohne ich seit vier Jahren in Heidelberg, in einer kleinen Stadtwohnung mit Balkon und Hündchen (4.3 Kilo).
  In der Freizeit mache ich alle Wege mit dem Fahrrad, spiele etwas Tennis, manchmal Schach, singe im Chor, erkunde die nähere Umgebung mit dem NABU (Naturschutzbund Deutschland) u.a.

  Joint leisure planning, if desired: I am exploring Heidelberg and the surrounding area and am open to joint excursions / trips. I like to speak German with my guest. Simple English would also be possible.

  Gemeinsame Freizeitplanung, wenn gewünscht: Ich bin dabei, Heidelberg und Umgebung zu erkunden und offen für gemeinsame Ausflüge/ Wege.
  Gern spreche ich Deutsch mit meinem Gast. Einfaches Englisch wäre auch möglich.
  Geteiltes Leben während des Aufenthaltes wäre schön.

  Aide

  The garden is large and beautiful (350m²). There is always a lot to do here, as some of it would have to be recreated and I am happy about any help. I would like to clear out and redesign the garden shed. For people with manual skills there are also activities. I imagine the following sub-projects: Renew water pipes and roof, build compost, build an earthworm farm, build a bird feeder;) and others
  
  The timetable is various. Shared life during your stay would be fine.
  
  
  Der Garten ist groß und wunderschön (350m²). Hier gibt es immer viel zu tun, da er zum Teil neu angelegt werden müsste und ich freue mich über jede Hilfe. Das Gartenhäuschen würde ich gerne ausräumen und neu gestalten. Für Leute mit handwerklichem Geschick gibt es auch Betätigungsmöglichkeiten. Folgende Teilprojekte stelle ich mir vor: Wasserleitungen und Dach erneuern
  Kompost errichten
  Regenwurmfarm
  ein Vogelhäuschen bauen ;)

  Die Zeiteinteilung ist variabel und erfolgt nach Absprache.

  Hébergement

  Own room (with balcony) in the shared apartment (50qm), 2 persons. Use of kitchen and bathroom together. Usually the meal can be consumed together. I eat less meat, but am not a consistent vegetarian. Vegans and vegetarians are welcome and I look forward to getting to know new meals.
  
  Eigenes Zimmer (mit Balkon) in einer zweier WG. Küchen- und Badnutzung gemeinsam.
  In der Regel kann das Essen gemeinsam eingenommen werden. Ich habe meinen Fleischkonsum sehr reduziert, bin aber kein konsequenter Vegetarier. Veganer und Vegetarier sind trotzdem willkommen und ich freue mich darauf, neue Gerichte kennenzulernen.

  Heidelberg am Neckar is a diverse city with a beautiful old town center. The oldest university in Germany is located here and therefore there is a wide range of offers (concerts, readings, cinema, club, lectures, art, etc.) There is also a lot to discover for nature lovers (swimming lakes, hikes in and around the Odenwald, cycle path network). Heidelberg is also known for its wine. There are a few wineries that can be visited and hiking in the vineyards is possible. Further information about the city of Heidelberg can be found here (in English / in English: ) In front of my house there is a grocery store and a bus stop that leads to the main train station and the old town .
  
  Heidelberg am Neckar ist eine vielseitige Stadt mit einem wunderschönen Altstadtkern. Hier befindet sich die älteste Universität Deutschlands und demnach gibt es vielfältige Angebote (Konzerte, Lesungen, Kino, Club, Vorträge, Kunst etc.) Auch für Naturliebhaber gibt es viel zu entdecken (Badeseen, Wanderungen im und um den Odenwald, Radwegenetz). Heidelberg ist zudem bekannt für seinen Wein. Es gibt einige Weingüter, die besucht werden können und Wanderungen in die Weinberge sind möglich.   Vor dem Haus in dem ich wohne, befinden sich ein Lebensmittelmarkt sowie eine Bushaltestelle, die Richtung Hauptbahnhof und Altstadt führt.
