Hello to the wide world! (:
we - Freddy and Anna - have found an idyllic piece of land in Oberkaufungen (Hessen) and would like to turn it into a joint project. The property is located directly on the edge of the forest, surrounded by meadows and is close to the town center. It is a 15-minute walk to the tram stop and 45 minutes by bike to Kassel city center. We have great neighbors and are friends with the local communities (Lossehof and KNK). On the 3,000 square meter property there are 2 houses (each with 2 floors of 50 square meters) and 1 barn, all of which are in great need of renovation and are currently not habitable. That is why life is happening outside: the outdoor kitchen and bathroom are currently being built and we are living in wagons. A power connection is available, supply and sewage do not exist and are not laid. There is a small stream right on the property line, which is fed by springs all year round. So much for the terrain.

Our vision:
Since the property has not been inhabited for over 5 years, it is left in its natural state, which we want to appreciate and preserve. The motto: we adapt to nature as much as possible and not nature to us. In keeping with this, we would like to renovate the houses ecologically, which we want to start next year. At the moment the idea is that one house will be a community house with a kitchen-living room, bathroom, workshop, work and guest room and the other a house. In addition, the area offers space for 2-4 carriages, so that 6-8 people can comfortably live on the property. Conceptually, we have a cooperative-like model in mind, i.e. everyone participates in the financing and accordingly everyone owns the property. On the one hand, we want to avoid that coexistence is shaped by property hierarchies and, on the other hand, we want to ensure that everyone takes on the same responsibility for common property. For good group dynamics, we use various methods, such as regular social and orgaplena, feedback rounds and mediations, to enable a benevolent coexistence and to survive crises. We are open to new ideas and concepts in many areas.

Who we are:
We are around 30 years old and were able to gain some experience in various projects and collectives (cultural workers / Wagenplatz environment / political activism). We are well networked in Kassel and are doers without wanting to be bad guys. Were partly traveling a lot ourselves, love music, nature, DIT (do-it-together) culture, skill sharing, celebrations, good food, encounters ... At the moment we are 3 permanent people and a few people who are interested in getting to know each other.

wir - Freddy und Anna - haben ein idyllisches Grundstück in Oberkaufungen (Hessen) gefunden und möchten daraus ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt machen. Das Grundstück liegt direkt am Waldrand, umgeben von Wiesen und ist nah am Ortskern. Zu Fuß sind es ca. 15 min zur TramHaltestelle, mit dem Rad 45 min nach Kassel Innenstadt. Wir haben tolle Nachbar*innen und sind mit den ortsansässigen Kommunen (Lossehof und KNK) befreundet. Auf dem 3.000 qm großen Grundstück stehen 2 Häuser (jeweils 2 Etagen a 50qm) und 1 Scheune, die alle stark sanierungsbedürftig sind. 2021 haben wir mit der Sanierung des ersten Hauses begonnen und sind inzwischen beim Innenausbau angekommen. Eine schöne Wohnküche gibt es inzwischen, dass Badezimmer will noch gebaut werden, weshalb wir derzeit nur ein Außenbadezimmer nutzen. Unser Leben findet großteilig draußen statt und wir wohnen in Bauwägen. Ein Stromanschluss ist vorhanden, Zu- und Abwasser existieren nicht und werden auch nicht gelegt. Es gibt einen kleinen Bach direkt an der Grundstücksgrenze, der ganzjährig von Quellen gespeist wird. So viel zum Gelände.

Unsere Vision:
Da das Grundstück über 5 Jahre nicht bewohnt wurde, ist es naturbelassen, was wir schätzen und erhalten möchten. Das Motto: wir passen uns soweit es geht der Natur an und nicht die Natur an uns. Passend dazu möchten wir die Häuser ökologisch sanieren. Momentan ist die Idee, dass ein Haus Gemeinschaftshaus mit Wohnküche, Bad, Werkstatt, Arbeits- und Gästezimmer wird und das andere ein Wohnhaus. Darüber hinaus bietet das Gelände Raum für 2-4 Wägen, sodass 6-8 Personen angenehm auf dem Grundstück wohnen können. Konzeptionell schwebt uns ein genossenschaftsähnliches Modell vor, d.h. alle beteiligen sich mit Anteilen an der Finanzierung und dementsprechend gehört allen das Grundstück. Damit möchten wir zum einen vermeiden, dass das Zusammenleben von Besitzhierarchien geprägt wird und zum anderen möchten wir damit bewirken, dass alle die gleiche Verantwortung für den gemeinsamen Besitz übernehmen. Für eine gute Gruppendynamik nutzen wir verschiedene Methoden, wie z.B. regelmäßige Sozial- und Orgaplena, Feedbackrunden und Mediationen, um ein wohlwollendes Zusammenleben zu ermöglichen und Krisen zu überstehen. Bei Vielem sind wir offen für neue Ideen und Konzepte. Klappen tut es in der Realität nur so halb.

Wer wir sind:
Wir sind um die 30 Jahre und konnten einige Erfahrungen in verschiedenen Projekten und Kollektiven sammeln (Kulturschaffend/Wagenplatzumfeld/politischer Aktivismus). Wir sind in Kassel gut vernetzt und sind Macher*innen ohne Macker*innen sein zu wollen. Waren teilweise selbst viel reisen, lieben Musik, Natur, DIT (Do-it-together) - Kultur, Skill-Sharing, Feiern, gutes Essen, Begegnungen... Momentan sind wir 2 feste Leute, eine Katze namens Saki und ein paar Menschen, die interessiert sind am Kennenlernen. Hinzu kommt viel (Dauer-)besuch, sodass wir selten nur zu zweit sind.

As mentioned above, we are well networked in Kassel, we know a lot of cultural workers and we organize concerts, educational events, etc. In addition to the culture and party program, there are also numerous wonderful landscapes, lakes and places that we would like to show you.

Wie oben schon erwähnt sind wir gut in Kassel vernetzt, kennen viele Kulturschaffende und organisieren Konzerte, Bildungsveranstaltung etc. Neben dem Kultur und Partyprogramm gibt es noch zahlreiche wundervolle Landschaften, Seen und Orte, die wir euch gerne zeigen.

With us, the tasks depend heavily on the time when you come, because as already mentioned above, we have undertaken a house renovation. Therefore, just write to us and we will tell you what exactly is up. Basically, manual skills are not wrong, such as wall: inside, carpenters and women, carpenters: inside, roofer: inside, electrician ... But before the construction begins, the first thing to do is demolish it. Do you want to break down house walls? And otherwise, there is always something to do in the garden (vegetable patch, clipping, hedge construction ...) And then there are still hungry mouths ...

Bei uns hängen die Aufgaben stark von dem Zeitpunkt ab, wann ihr kommt, da wir uns wie oben schon erwähnt in einer Haussanierung befinden. Deshalb schreibt uns einfach gerne und wir erzählen euch, was gerade genau ansteht. Grundsätzlich sind handwerkliche Fähigkeiten nicht verkehrt, wie z.B. Mauer:innen, Zimmerer, Tischler:innen, Dachdecker:innen, Elektriker:innen.. Und sonst, gibt´s immer was im Garten zu tun (Gemüsebeet, Baumschnitt, Heckenaufbau...) Und dann gibt´s da noch hungrige Mäuler, Haushalt etc..

Hébergement
Depending on the season and the construction phase, in construction vehicles, campers and, from next year, in the house. On the weekdays we will have an early breakfast, lunch and some dinner. On the weekend we probably have a late breakfast and an early dinner, depending who is there...
