Looking for someone from mid April or later
We are Mel and Sam, a German - Swiss couple and Lóa Elva, our little family addition. We are calling Iceland our home as we have been living here for 10+ years. We live in a quiet neighbourhood of Reykjavik, very close to nature. We speak German, French and English at home.
Sam is a Data Analyst and into history, Mel the artistic and sporty one. We have been travelling a lot, love the outdoors, hiking, board games, cooking, good conversations, common sense and are in general pretty easy going. While we are mostly outdoors during the summer, winter is the cozy time in Iceland with indoor activities.
People we enjoy: with common sense, food lovers, no nonsense people.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre
Pratique d’une langue
Baby-sitting et jeux créatifs
Cuisine/repas pour la famille
Aide à la maison
Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
If you want to improve any of the languages we are speaking we can certainly help you with that. If you want to learn Icelandic we can also point you in the right direction. You can also get as much insight into the Icelandic life as you want as we experienced a lot, the good the bad and the ugly. There are plenty of things to do in Reykjavik and if you like the outdoors you are more than welcome to join our hikes.

Would prefer a French or German speaker as those are the languages that our daughter needs to be exposed more.
We met some great people through this platform and are always happy to welcome more. We are looking mainly for cultural exchange and making friends along the way. In addition we are looking for someone who can look after our daughter (born Nov 22) some afternoons / evenings and maybe a few hours at the weekend , and also give a hand with some light household task and maybe take a turn in cooking while staying here.
We speak German, French and English at home, Lóa is still speaking Lóish.
Lóa is a very energetic, social and curious. She loves people and exploration and is easy to deal with.
Mel is working from home in case anything comes up.Langues

We have a spacious 4 room apartment. You get your own room with comfortable bed. We do like to cook and the fridge is always full, however, it would be great if you can also contribute to food and cooking.
Autres infos...
There are plenty of things to do. Swimming pool and gym are 10min walk. We live next to a beautiful valley where you can go for walks and runs. It's ca 25min to downtown by direct bus. In general, Reykjavik has a lot to offer when it comes to activities. Also the sea can be reached in 15min by foot.
