  Before you move forward, we want to clarify some points and make sure you know what to expect.
  1) To get the most out of your experience with us, it's important that you are self-sufficient, capable of taking care of yourself both emotionally and energetically. Life here can be unpredictable—some days are full of excitement, while others are quiet and slow. There's always something going on, but there's also plenty of open space for you to bring your creativity and initiative.
  
  2) Even though we speak many language a fluent English or German are needed to be able to interact with our environment
  
  3)We love welcoming people who are genuinely motivated to join us. So, when you're ready to reach out, let us know why you're interested and how you think you can contribute to our project. We're open to both tangible and intangible skills.
  We invest time and resources in establish contact to this web page and answer every single mail we receive, so please no copy-and-paste messages!
  
  We are a group of around 14 members, practicing and experimenting with an alternative way of living. Our goal is to work together, improve our living space, support local community projects, and explore alternative and sustainable living concepts.
  
  In our 1,000m² space, we blend work, living, and free time. We have workshops for woodworking, metalwork, dressmaking, and art. Here, we build tiny mobile homes, furniture, and clothing, mostly using second-hand materials. Many of us also work self-employed in our own professions.
  
  During our free time, we tend to the garden, host events and workshops, make music on our open stage, and engage in lively discussions about everything from serious topics to fun, random ideas. We're always open to experimenting with new ideas.
  
  We each live in private spaces of 10–20m², while sharing the rest of the space communally. A big part of our vision is about experimenting—whether it's with communal living structures or rediscovering new ways to connect with each other. We are constantly seeking ways to embrace slowness and appreciation in an ever-faster world. We're also committed to exploring reusability in all aspects of life, and trying to bring structure to a structureless environment.

  We are plenty of people already but we decided that we want to push our project even more! Is gonna be hard work but also good time!!

  in the next few Months we do have a special cleaning and Building Project, as it seems we do have a second floor that needs to be built and cleaned. for that reason we do need a lot of human Power to make the wirksatt greater and provide more space.
  
  The Work defines itself through the skills of the individual being. To contribute your skill set sometimes means, that nobody will be around to tell you what to do and to self-independently realize your own Vision. And sometimes it means, that you’ll be devoting your energy in time consuming projects like sanding a wagon. After some time you get a natural feeling and self-responsibility, of where you can use your energy and enthusiasm and we see together, what work will fit the most for you and us.
  We have various jobs from cooking, maintaining and expanding infrastructure, repairing and re-creating things, cleaning, gardening and sometimes building sustainable cottages or wagons out of junk. Maybe you can help with the realization of sustainable ideas and the assistance at events. In addition to the work that takes place, a workaway with us also includes helping with other charitable projects in Lichtensteig. For example, helping with a community garden, nature preservation projects and building and converting a new factory conversion.
  
  ALSO... you are very welcome to offert what you would wish to offert.. something that you're really good at.. or something you're experimentig ..your art.. a dish you love to eat .. or whatever else.. but you can write us saying what you would love to offer and share!! Go!

  NOTE:
  - We consider 2 week really the minimum time to be here and connect with the place and the environment. We some times host for shorter period but we consider that exceptions. We tend to prioritize people who can stay longer (1 or more months)
  - We love long term people but in first place we offer max one month stay to have the chance to get to know each other. Then for people that like the place and what to stay more we share a check in with all the community to see if it works both side. We that repeat that monthly
  
  - For logistics purposes we ask you to arrive over the weekend
  
  We are quite full, so our rooms are mostly occupied and we can just offer our 6-bed-dormitory or a camper and maybe a spontaneous solution without guarantee.
  Since we live in an unheated factory building it gets cold during the winter season.We then turn on our fireplace, go to the sauna or you can take a hot bath in the bathroom. It is also advised to make sure, you are well equipped and clothed during this time of year.
  We have a magical source of food which fills itself up in the evening almost every day during the week.
  Meals are included. When you write to us, write the word 'marry popping', so we know that you did quite an effort to read us so far :). The other way would be quite demotivating. As some of us are sometimes to busy to cook, the cooking responsibility sometimes shifts towards the people who have time and motivation - you, us… we’ll see. Simple vegan and vegetarian meals possible.

  We have a Ping Pong Table, as well as a Pool Table, Sauna, hot pot, cold bath. You are also always invited to play Card and Board Games with us. Also it’s seen as something like compulsory to learn „Tichu" - google it!
  There are also hiking paths around the area, as well as lots of skying and sledging opportunities during the winter season. During the warmer times of the year, you can bath inside the clear rivers, or be especially brave and take part in icebathing during winter.
  If you wish to have some city-sightseeing-adventures, St. Gallen is 30 Minutes, Winterthur 40 Minutes and Zürich 60 minutes away.
