  • Description

I'm a 30 french woman who wants to discover the beautiful country of New Zealand for 5/6 months.
I land in Auckland on the beggining of November 2024.

I come from in the beautiful Normandy countryside (France) and I grew up between our sheeps, hens, dogs, cats and a donkey !
I live now in Annecy, in the french Alps, enjoying the lake and the mountains around.
I'm a member of a 4 sisters family (i'm the youngest) and all their travels have given me a taste of adventure.

Discover people, their life, the country, landscapes, that's why I want to travel in New Zealand.
I have a good English level. I'm not bilingual but I understand people as long as they don't speak too fast, with a too big accent, and I know how to make myself understood.

I'm a reserved person at first, when I don't know yhe people, but warm, understanding and patient. I know to be independent at work. I'm not particularly vegetarian but I can become one if you are. I don't have any food allergies.

I am passionate by horses. I've been riding less in recent years, due to a lack of time but I've been riding for 15 years. I like to have animals in general around me.
I like to go hiking (it's also why I have chosen New Zealand for my travel!), wakeboarding, wakesurfing, climbing and would like to learn how to surf in the ocean one day.
I listen a lot of music (all types), I like to read and love to watch a good movie.

I'm looking for some places to stay between 2 and 4 weeks (or more if it goes perfectly well). I'll have to alternate my stays as a helper with paid jobs if I want to enjoy my trip as much as possible and be able to visit one of my sisters who lives in New Caledonia.

Thank you for reading my profile !

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been a seasonal worker for a few years now : I a have worked as an executive assistant in a wakeboard school, as a reservation agent in a 5 stars hotel, as a sales manager in a ski school, as an executive assistant and activity leader in an outdoor centre. I also have experiences in sales (I worked at Decathlon for nearly 4 years), catering, babysitting and cleaning (I look after the rental of my parents' holiday accommodation).
My colleagues call me the ‘Swiss Army knife’, an expression that means I'm capable of doing a lot of things and adapting to all situations (as long as I enjoy the environment in which I work, of course).

I was a helper for 5 months in Ireland when I was 22 yo. I stayed in a riding centre to help with the stable maintenance and horse care management. I also was a horse riding trek guide for the tourists and helped with the summer camps for young people.

I did a work experience in a riding centre, specialising in an ethological approach to horsemanship and equestrian show, for 10 months in 2017/18.
I was part of a team of 6 students, in charge of the stable maintenance and care management of a herd of 60 horses. I was daily training with my assigned horses and participated to the holidays camps for young people as an apprentice riding instructor.
I was one of the particpant in our show performed at the 2017 Paris Horse Show.

I have a two-year technical degree in Information and Communication (Advertising).
