Description
Forever curious, energetic, and excited to learn new things and meet new people! I love learning about new cultures and ways of life around the world. I am an astronomer and happy to look at the night sky together.
I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, in a small town halfway between Philadelphia and New York City. Against a backdrop of my own homogeneous community I became increasingly curious about the wide diversity that this world contains.
I have since traveled a lot, doing Workaways around the world. The more I travel, the more I learn about vastly different people, customs, and philosophies throughout the world. I know there is still so much more to learn. I did Workaway for a year before going back to school, and now excited to do it again.
I love dancing and am always down for a dance party. Life is better lived with laughter.

I had the most wonderful time with Kylie, Nathan, James, Addie, Patrick, Jonathan, and Peter!! The two weeks went by way too fast and left me wishing that I could have spent longer with this lovely family.

We feel really fortunate to have had Tess stay with us for around two weeks. Our house can be busy and noisy and fairly chaotic and Tess got to experience it all! She was super helpful with the children while we were busier than normal with work and they really benefited from the time she spent with them. From board games to music to cooking and… read more

Had a great two weeks at the winery/vineyard! We worked two 2.5 hour shifts each day with a half hour breakfast break in the middle. The work supervisor Petra was really patient, friendly, and helpful in teaching us what to do.
The work is physical but not very challenging. It is repetitive but the scenery is so gorgeous that the time passes… read more

Tess was a pleasure to have stay in our home. She was always willing to doing anything that was asked and was genuinely interested in our business and how everything worked. It was a shame she only spent just under 2 weeks with us! All the best with your future travels Tess :)

I had an incredibly special two weeks with the nuns in Ban Rai this past November-December. The center is peaceful, meditative, and a great spot to recenter yourself after many months traveling. The workload is fairly light- volunteers alternate assisting with alms collection and cleaning the center. There is also occasional gardening work.
