  • Description

My name is Taylor, born in 1996 in Washington DC to Albanian parents, I moved around much of the world and after living briefly in Canada and France my family relocated to Bari in southern Italy where I spent most of my conscious upbringing, from 6 years old to 19. In this period I learned about myself, local life, small communities, and most importantly the beauty of asking difficult questions, that somehow relate to philosophy. In the end, we all live by one, and I found it extremely interesting to learn about different types of philosophies.

While growing up in this small 20,000 people town, I attended Scouts for about 9 years which taught me incredible lessons, difficult at times to explain. So if you ask where I'm from, I will most certainly have a hard time choosing and might think of it for a minute or two. One thing is for sure, the Mediterranean is my home and I love Europe dearly.

Being an outgoing, adventurous, and easy-going child, I decided (with the blessing of my parents) to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in London where I moved a total of 16 times in 4 years and lived in San Francisco for a year and Shanghai for a month. While continuously traveling every month and learning about the power business can have in local communities and the world in general, I adventured myself more and more into alternative traveling and truly immersing myself in local cultures. My first real experience of "backpacking" and living with locals happened in Peru where I ended up on parts of the Inca Trail discussing herbalism and sustainability with locals. At that moment, something clicked inside of me and I decided that learning about new cultures and connecting with people across the world was one of the things that brought me the most joy.

Shortly after graduating and having secured a very good job, I decided to take 3 months of exploring South East Asia which turned out to be some of the most beautiful months of my life. This flipped my life perspective completely and gave me an even bigger desire to completely immerse myself in foreign cultures and learn from them (my favorite was Vietnam).

I have intermediate experience in fixing things such as vehicles, engines, and mechanical engineering, and woodworking. I am no expert by any means but have learned quickly and have found a deep passion for building and fixing in general. I speak 4 languages and have an extreme desire to learn about everything that surrounds me. I am hardworking, passionate, motivated, and usually have an opinion about most things without being disrespectful or hurtful. As a natural extrovert with great empathy, I have a keen desire to learn about other people and their life. I hope we shall meet one day and exchange ideas.

    All the best :)

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been a Scout for 9 years, during which I learned a lot about the natural world and the skills necessary to survive and thrive in it. I learned first aid medicine, bushcraft, survival, topography, how to deal with animals, building structures and fires, etc. This was the foundation that allowed me to learn how to live in life for the most part. During this time we also had many fundraising activities that involved leadership skills, as well as sales and interpersonal skills. I am also called by many a very good cook. Growing up in Italy I had many chances to learn and food and cooking have grown into one of my biggest passions.

I then went to pursue a Bachelor's in Finance that allowed me to better my analytical and problem-solving skills. It allowed me to become comfortable with business and general management. During this time I also successfully launched a few businesses that allowed me to fund my school years. Computer skills were a must and given that I have an innate curiosity I became very knowledgeable in informatics and technology.

In the past 3 years, I have become more and more curious about mechanical engineering, construction, and automotive. I fix and maintain my own vehicles and am at an intermediate knowledge of mechanical instruments. I understand how they work and can fix basic things, but I am not an expert by any means.

I am a fast learner and have an intuition for most things. I can problem solve and generally try to find an answer by myself unless clear instructions are needed for a specific job. I have traveled all around the world and been in many different situations which have allowed me to learn and grow these skills. Above all, I love interacting with people.
