Hello! We are Suz (27) and Cal (28) from Adelaide, Australia.
We are new to workaway and very excited to start along the path of experiencing different ways of living, learning new skills, and hopefully sharing some of our own interests and joy. We would love the opportunity to connect with many different communities of people, as we have an interest in others and are open to trying new things.

(Suz) Things I enjoy include nature and hiking, arts and crafts (drawing, painting, clay, crochet), and play - anything social including board games, outdoor sports, and just connecting with others (especially over coffee or food).
In Australia, I work as an occupational therapist working with a mix of older adults and children, which means I certainly have an interest in and a love for working with kids, especially through play!
Mostly I find happiness and joy through connecting with others and look forward to Workaway being the perfect way to do this while also learning and sharing!

(Cal) I have just completed my studies to become a psychologist, and had a job working with children and young people with disabilities. Now I am excited to put that on pause and start travelling, meeting new people, and learning from and sharing with others. Like Suz, I spend a lot of my free time socialising and laughing with friends, or outdoors, playing sports, hiking, or gardening.
In terms of practical skills, I am a very keen gardener. I have spent time growing both organic edible and ornamental gardens, and have lots of experience in weeding, pruning, propagating, and other general garden maintenance practices. I have also done a small amount of landscaping, including building raised vegetable beds, brick paths, and putting up fences. My skills in this area are less developed but am eager to learn more!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are both sociable people! We have an interest in others which can explain our careers in Australia (occupational therapist and psychologist), with a passion for working with others, both old and young. We both have experience working with kids which certainly brings out a creative and imaginative side. We also have a love for the outdoors which means we have experience in hiking, swimming, and sporting activities and would be very keen to share this with others as well as hear and see what you have to offer!

We both love board games! We are keen to play just about any kind of game, whether it is simple cards, long strategy style games, or parlour games! Cal is a very keen chess player and is always up for a game!
