Description

We are Cassie and Steve, two Americans (from Ohio, USA) traveling west to east through Europe from January until August. Steve spent the past 9 years as a body design engineer for Honda. Cassie completed 2 years in the Peace Corps teaching English and supporting local communities in Timor-Leste, spent 3 years working as an administrative assistant for the US federal government, and most recently spent a year traveling and volunteering in Latin America. We're both passionate about animal rights and finding a sustainable way to thrive on this planet, while building a strong and vibrant community. We're eager to learn more about alternative construction, regenerative agriculture, and all aspects of intentional community. Cassie is quite good at Spanish, Steve is intermediate at French, and we're both beginners at Portuguese.

We are very excited to do some workaways in 2024. Cassie already has plenty of experience with workaways from her year in Latin America (teaching English, working in hostels, doing basic construction and agriculture work). Steve has had several successful organic gardens. We're really looking forward to working hard and getting our hands dirty while learning about agriculture, homesteading, alternative building materials, and more.

We are experienced hikers / backpackers and it will be a dream come true to live closer to nature and further from the city. We're both grateful for the opportunity to befriend future hosts and other workawayers while learning as much as we can for our own future plans.
