Hi! We are Sophie and Finn, two friends who are eager to learn about new cultures and meet new people!

Sophie: I'm 21 years old, and I recently graduated from college with a degree in International Affairs/ Religion, but I am excited to start a new phase of learning through experience and travel :) I am outgoing, and I am very curious person. I believe that the littlest, simplest parts of life are sometimes how we can make the most positive change. I am open to many different types of experiences! I'm currently on a workaway cleaning rooms at a hostel, but have tried out many different things in the past—hiking trips, a film school program, and working in a self-sustaining community. I am most happy when I'm talking with other people, outdoors/hiking, and writing :) While introspection, connection with others, and a general sense of faith remain core values of mine, I have engaged with many different belief systems and believe that mental curiousity has been one of my greatest assets. I look forward to learning more!

Finn: I graduated last year with a degree in English and Computer Science, and I just finished a six-month internship in London! I'm an experienced backpacker, and my favorite part of travel is learning to live simply and go with the flow. I love carrying everything I need in one bag, being surprised by what I see every day, and sharing stories with new people. I try to give back as much as I can, which is why volunteering and community are such an important part of my travel experience. I'm a fast learner and very energetic, but I also enjoy time alone, so I can feel at home anywhere. One way I settle into a new place while I'm traveling is to cook for my friends, and my desserts are world famous ;)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Sophie: I am TEFL certified to teach english as a foreign language, and I have lots of tutoring experience. I have been on a one-on-one reading tutor to multiple elementary schoolers as well as an English tutor to foreign exchange college students. I have also taught English to classes of foreign exchange students. I have extensive experience working in customer service, cleaning at a hostel, and cooking at a hostel. I also have been babysitting/ nannying for over five years, and I love to be around kids. I am proficient with technology, and I may ask a lot of questions but I love to learn new skills!

Finn: At my last internship, I was an assistant in a university office, doing administrative work, event planning, excursion supervision, and various errands to help maintain our campus. I also offered 24/7 emergency response for the university's students when they experienced mental health crises or needed to go to the hospital. I'm a strong writer, and I love helping people edit and improve their writing. I've helped foreign exchange students practice their English. I studied Computer Science at university and can help with basic IT maintenance, web design, and other technical tasks. I'm a fast learner and I love being challenged!
