Hi I'm Simon, 30, from France.

Currently exploring New Zealand ! I could help you on some volunteering project or on some paid position (I hold a working holiday visa until Sept 2024).

I have a college degree in agriculture (MSc), I've mainly studied soil sciences, agro-ecology and natural resources management (water, biodiversity, ... ) Obviously I can easily help you on any project falling into those fields.
Beside that, I'm handy, I like to be active and to do things (DIY, animal care, sport...) I'm especially triggered by things I don't know about, so I can learn by doing. So as you can imagine I'm quite curious!

So you have an idea, here are some previous workaway project I was involved in : water sport monitor, general maintenance and repair (sailing school, kite surf school); designing a terrasse garden (sailing camp), helping teachers with designing study material and organizing trips for student (Spanish language school for foreigners)

I'm fluent in English, I have an intermediate level of Spanish. Oh and, I'm french-native, so I can help anyone who'd like to learn .

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Field of study (Master graduated): Agriculture and nature conservation. Practical skills on that field, experience with working in developing country, research and development, reporting, project management.

Personal skills: Independent, flexible, down-to-earth, committed. I grew up on a (commercial) farm, I was regularly helping out (livestock + plant maintenance) so I'm used to work outside and I'm not afraid of hard work or physical work, I'm fine with being an handy-man.

Interpersonal skills: I'm used to work in different cultural environment. experience with customer relation at a work place. As for social interaction, I'd describe myself as a good listener.

Computer skills : Word, Excel, Power point, Research...

Teaching skills: I was in charges of teaching employees while working, I was a water sport monitor on a previous workaway project
