Hello, my name is Silje!

I’m a joyful, kind spirited and adventurous person from Norway, currently living in the town of Tønsberg. I love meeting and connecting with people from all over the world. Learning and sharing stories, knowledge and skills along the way.

Currently I am very keen to learn more about permaculture and organic farming, self sustainability and eco projects as I would love to apply valuable knowledge it to future projects. I have a vegetable patch in my garden where I grow lettuce, beetroots, peas, corn, carrots and lots more :) I'm happy to get my hands dirty with physical work task. Otherwise I also love being around children and I'm happy to cook, bake (I make very tasty cinnamon buns and I've just started to learn how to make sourdough bread) and I clean.

I love being in nature, this is where I find true peace and joy. During holidays and weekends I go camping or hiking in the mountains, or in the forest next-door. I can teach you yoga, and I'm passionate about movement and dance. I keep a daily mediation practice. I journal and write. Photography, knitting and crafting is also something that I enjoy doing. Or sing and learning to play the ukulele.

I completed my undergraduate degree in arts majoring in International Relations in 2015- since then I’ve been working in retail, and the nonprofit sector. Now I'm doing a bachelor's degree in applied psychology. My practical skills include cooking, cleaning, sewing, basic woodwork, painting, basic gardening, I’m great with animals, and DIY creative tasks.
I’m positive, hard working, I follow instructions and I’m quick on my feet.

Silje came to us last minute for one week. She fit in right away, a great worker who was able to stay focused and motivated and great company. Workaway doesn't get much better than hosting Silje. Such a nice and open and friendly girl.
