Marina:I am Marina and I grew up in Barcelona, Spain. Lately, I've reached a point in life where I've realized it's too short to live disconnected from nature just to follow the "normative" path. What truly brings me joy and a sense of connection is being in nature—whether it's dancing, practicing yoga, painting, hiking, playing sports, or simply spending time with the people I love.

Together with my partner Sebo, we're now seeking a life of simplicity, surrounded by nature, and guided by a slower, more intentional rhythm. Our dream is to eventually create our own nature-based project—perhaps an eco-tourism or camping site—where we can live in alignment with our values.

Sebo: I am Sebo and I grew up on a boat in the North of the Netherlands. I think that this alternative lifestyle has formed the basis for who I became and what I value (respect for nature and a sober & conscious lifestyle). The majority of my childhood was spent outside, always on th elook out for animals. Ever since I was young, I have said that one day I would live in a wooden hut in the middle of the rainforest. Now that I am about to finish my Master’s degree in Climate Change at Copenhagen University, I finally feel free to change plan A and plan B around.

Now that we've introduced ourselves...We see work-away as not only a chance to learn new skills and gain hands-on experience, but also a way to stay grounded in the present moment—which, after all, is the only thing we truly have.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Marina: I studied psychology and a master's in planetary health(the interconnection between the earth systems and human health and its dependency). I am very sensitive, social and servicial. I am quite creative, I am good at painting and writing. I am becoming a certified yoga instructor and I will also be trained for becoming a certified forest bathing guide and forest therapy practitioner. I have experience teaching spanish/english lessons to kids and adults as well as hospitality work. After all these academic years, I am open and interested on learning practical skills such as regenerative gardening, bioconstruction/building projects and whatever needs to be done...

Sebo:As already shortly mentioned, I have recently finished my master's degree in Climate Change. I am a social, proactive, respectful and compassionate person. Compassion towards both human and non-human animals forms one of my core values. Hobby-wise, I really enjoy making music, hiking, playing games or any kind of sport. Over the last couple of years I've worked in hospitality, delivery services and teaching. I like to be active and help out in whatever is needed. As for now, I am mainly academically schooled, I am hoping to further improve my practical skills.


P.S.: Having a couple account made us realize that we fill each other up in hobbies and skills (which is why almost all hobbies are selected)...
