Hello Hosts and fellow Workawayers!

We're Sebastian and Maria, a young and vibrant couple - I'm 23 and Maria is 22 - bound together by our shared love for life's simple joys and a passion for exploring the world.

Born in Spain, I, Sebastian, have been lucky enough to call several places home - Seville, Kentucky, and Bordeaux. Each of these places enriched my life, introducing me to new cultures, flavors, and languages. I'm proficient in English and Spanish, and while my French was once quite good during my time in Bordeaux, I must admit it's gotten a bit rusty and I'm keen to practice and improve it.

Maria, equally adventurous, shares my love for globetrotting. Despite not having lived abroad like me, she's traversed numerous countries, soaking in their unique cultures and experiences. Maria communicates effectively in English and has a background in German, which she's eager to revive and enhance.

Our shared passion extends to the love for animals and nature. There's nothing we find more rewarding than spending time amidst the beauty of the natural world and the company of our furry friends.

Together, we look forward to joining the Workaway community. We can't wait to share our stories, learn from others, and continue exploring the vast, wonderful world through this platform.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I come with a wide range of skills, particularly in the field of Digital Communication, which has given me solid proficiency in computer-related tasks. My ultimate goal is to pursue a master's degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, as I'm deeply interested in these rapidly evolving fields, but it’s really expensive so I need to make a little bit of money first😅

In terms of work experience, I've served as a head waiter in the past, where my role involved leading a team of waitstaff, organizing schedules, and resolving customer queries and issues. This experience has honed my leadership abilities and deepened my understanding of effective customer service.

Additionally, I have experience in multilingual customer service for airlines, which has strengthened my communication skills in several languages. I also spent time working for Zwilling, a well-known company specializing in high-quality kitchenware. This role made me proficient in a wide range of culinary tools, from knives to any other kitchen tools.

Currently studying graphic design, Maria showcases exceptional talent in her work. Her understanding of design software is complemented by her traditional artistic abilities. She is a skilled painter, often bringing canvases to life with her thoughtful strokes, and enjoys the tactile satisfaction of crafting by hand. Whether she is sketching a new design or working on a complex craft project, Maria's creativity shines through.

However, her capabilities extend far beyond the creative sphere. She’s “IKEA”, she loves building stuff and is super good at it, so she’s very handy. She has dedicated significant time to volunteering in hospitals, taking care of people, and offering companionship to the elderly. This experience has not only made her more patient and understanding, but it has also reinforced her love for helping others.

Maria's ability to empathize deeply with others is evident in her interactions. Whether she's comforting a patient in the hospital or attentively listening to a friend's troubles, she consistently offers a shoulder to lean on. Her dedication to serving others translates into everything she does, and it's this sense of responsibility and care that she brings into every situation.

Also, we LOVE animals and both have taken care of lots of animals in our lives, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, fishes, birds, etc. Maria even had a pony and has experience with horses and even did competitions when she was younger.

Together, we bring a broad set of skills and experiences to the table. We are eager to contribute to the Workaway community and learn from everyone we encounter.

Maria and I enjoy numerous hobbies. We're both music enthusiasts, often exploring new tracks and artists together. Gaming, both video and board games, is another shared passion of ours. We're also film lovers, regularly watching movies and series, and making it a point to going to the movies at least twice a month.
