Hi! I have been working as a science educator for the last five years in Alaska and want to take some time off to learn some new skills and see more of the world. I love to learn, which is why I love working in education. But I miss getting to work more with my hands. While living here I have learned a lot about living off the land. While not working, I volunteer at the local animal shelter and at the local bike co-op, where I help people fix their bikes. I also love to cook and learn new crafts, including wood working, embroidery, and crochet. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new places in a unique way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a hard worker who likes to build and fix things. I have some experience woodworking and know how to use basic power tools and saws. I really want to learn more about plant care, but I’m definitely not an expert. I have worked with a lot of animals at our local animal shelter and have some experience with horses. I have not ridden in a few years, but I understand a bit about how horse barns operate. I also have experience in bike mechanics and very basic small boat maintenance.
