Hello!

I am a loving, adventurous, positive, grounded, and inspired young woman on my journey to explore the cultures of farming & permaculture, healing & medicine, and art & music in Peru and Ecuador. After graduating from university in California last year, I am taking some time to follow my calling down to South America to learn more about growing food and connecting with the land and the people. I am a farmer, bee-keeper, herbalist, and tattoo artist and am really excited to learn and share knowledge about working with plants and natural medicine, cultivating eco-conscious community, making music and art, and sharing joy with new friends!

I am a dedicated worker and have experience farming, gardening, implementing permaculture systems, preparing and tending to honeybee hives, making herbal medicines and potions, and working in hospitality. I am eager to learn new skills and to share my knowledge, and am inspired by my dream to start a permaculture farm and community with my family & friends in the USA.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-Farming & growing plants
My central and favorite skill is working with plants and wildlife! I studied Agroecology and Environment Studies in university and throughout school developed a broad knowledge of sustainable agriculture, ecosystem ecology, biology, and environmental policy. I have worked on several farms in California and worked for two years growing plants in a native plant nursery. I also keep my own garden and tend to many indoor and outdoor plants!

-Beekeeping
I have helped several people set up bee-boxes, establish nuclear hives, inspect hives for Queens, mites, winter preparedness, and overall health. I have been taking courses on regenerative beekeeping this year and am really passionate about continuing on the bee journey!

-Landscaping & sustainable systems
I also have experience and interest in landscaping, carpentry, and sustainable water systems. This year I collaborated with two friends on a landscaping projects in Big Sur, CA during which I designed and implemented residential gardens for food, aesthetics, and pollinators. I also took courses at a permaculture farm and practiced farm-related carpentry and helped implement irrigation and renewable energy systems.

-Herbalism & Cooking
I work with several local herbalists to create tea blends, tinctures, oxymels, and glycerites, and am eager to learn and practice more herbal medicine making! I also cook frequently with fresh produce and herbs and have experience cooking for up to 30 people at once, I love preparing and sharing food!

I am a DJ! I mix different styles of electronic music and love to play for ecstatic dances and parties.
I am learning to play the Djembe and Buffalo drums, I love drum circles and jam sessions!
I love tea and often hold little tea ceremonies aligned with Chinese tradition, I hope to bring some pu-erh teas to share!
I am learning how to weave and crochet, and hope to learn more about local textile making and natural dyes.
