Hello there! We're Neil and Alex, a dynamic duo with a passion for adventure and purposeful living.

I (Neil) head a security operations center and specialize in cybersecurity, particularly in web application and API protection. My work revolves around ensuring online safety and security, which I perform remotely. This allows us to satiate our wanderlust and explore the globe.

Alex hails from the vibrant country of Colombia, and is a talented architectural and interior designer. His expertise lies in crafting spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. He loves merging the essence of a place with its design to create something truly unique.

As digital nomads, we've made it our mission to "take on the world", both literally and metaphorically. Our blog, "Taking on the World", chronicles our journeys, and through WorkAway, we hope to deepen our connection with the places we visit. We lead a minimalist lifestyle, which for us means adding value, peace, and quality to everything we do.

We're eager to lend our skills, learn new ones, and immerse ourselves in diverse cultures. Whether it's helping with a technical issue, designing a space, or simply lending a hand in day-to-day tasks, we're up for the challenge!

We're a dynamic duo, bringing a wide range of skills to the table—from hands-on manual labor to cutting-edge tech proficiency. Hard work is what we thrive on, and we fearlessly roll up our sleeves to take on any challenge that comes our way. Our life experiences have been like a colorful tapestry of diverse endeavors.

Growing up in Colombia, Alex spent his time at his grandparents' farmhouse, helping out with daily chores. Meanwhile, Neil honed his resourcefulness and discipline at Culver Military Academy, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Alex pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering, excelling in multiple administrative projects. But he's not limited to that; he's got a great eye for interior design and loves helping people transform their living spaces. On the flip side, Neil earned a degree in Liberal Arts and now thrives as a digital nomad in cybersecurity. From programming and software to hardware, electronics, and gadgets—he's got it all covered.

Time is precious to us, and we tackle each task with unwavering dedication and commitment. Beyond our expertise, we're also friendly, outgoing, and always up for an engaging conversation. As fast learners, we jump into new challenges with gusto and adapt quickly to different tasks and routines. Teamwork is our jam, but we're equally skilled at producing outstanding results independently.

Our passion for learning and contributing is matched only by our efficiency and attention to detail. Whether it's building, construction, teaching, repair, maintenance, farm care, or house care—you name it, we're up for it. Cooking and sharing meals with our hosts is a delight, and we always aim to go the extra mile in everything we do.
