Hello workaway hosts,
I am a 34 year old American who loves to travel and find cool projects in the places I go. I'm very familiar with the work exchange situation, and I try to keep the mindset of working without pay with me in everything I do. I studied Biology in college, and I love nature and the outdoors. I like challenges, adventures, people, and generally expanding my outlook on life. I feel that living with people from other cultures is priceless.
I currently work (as an environmental biologist) and live on a remote island in Alaska but now I have some summer months off from work and I'm looking for adventures in a new a different place.
Also, I grew up in the countryside on a small farm in North Carolina and I've ran my own small farms for the past several years, so I am very familiar with farm work, and don't mind getting my hands dirty or working under the sun.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have plenty of experience with agriculture, food, animals, construction, music, art, and most kinds of people. I have a varies set of skills though I can't claim to be master of any of them :).
I have wwoofed and worked-away before and really enjoy the work exchange system. Some of the things I've worked with include: woodworking, masonry, permaculture, animal care (pigs, sheep, horses, donkeys ect.), tree house building, renovation, and sustainable construction. In America, I worked as a restaurant cook for almost 4 years and during my travels I have really enjoy learning new kinds of cuisine. I'm also a TESOL certified English teacher.

We spent almost 2 weeks at Baris and Senem's place and it was an amazing experience. Truly off the grid and in an incredible forest surrounded by wild horses and absolutely no sounds from any road. Seville and Mehmet are wonderful people, really generous. We spent too weeks there and would recommend it to people who like to be away from the city. We spent 2 weeks at this beautiful place. We never forget these nice people, with whom we shared a house (Katrina, Ash - forever in our hearts). It's impressing, how many dogs the shelter has and how people there do their best, to help almost 500 dogs.

From Eugene: Nathan worked with me during two weeks, but suddenly he left project not by my wish and not by his wish. Most jobs he did was wood surface maintenance on boats and he did it perfect way.
