Hi! I’m a traveler from Canada on a journey within, exploring my way through the world outside. I like to take the time to write, reflect, observe, and be present with what is going on outside and in my head. Orginally I thought I'd like to make my way to the East Coast, but I slowly started planning less and living more, trusting in my journey to unfold by itself. I am looking to connect with good people, pick up new skills along the way, and help out wherever I could. I’m taking my time, exploring the country and myself within it, and hoping to contribute meaningfully.

I work in construction and have experience labouring, so I’m comfortable with physical work, tools, and being part of a team. I’ve also kept my own garden this summer, growing tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, and lettuce, and I enjoy being outside doing yard work or helping with plants.

I like organizing and cleaning and I tend to keep my space well-kept and tidy. I also enjoy cooking and preparing meals. I’ve fostered a cat in the past and I love being around animals.

I travel solo in my car with basic camping gear, so I’m independent and don’t need much, but I really appreciate a warm bed and a good conversation. I'm reliable, clean, and flexible with my schedule. I’m happy to help with whatever’s needed and always open to learning something new.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve worked in construction alongside electricians, carpenters, drillers, and heavy equipment operators, so I’m used to varied job sites, hands-on labour, and adapting to different types of work. I’m confident with tools, comfortable getting dirty, and not afraid of long days.
I've also worked on my own vehicles when needed, so I’m familiar with basic mechanics and like figuring out how things work. I enjoy practical problem-solving and staying calm under pressure.

I’ve lived on my own since I was 18, so I’m independent and know how to take care of a home and keep routines going, whether that means cooking, cleaning, managing time, or handling unexpected problems. I don’t mind working alone, but I also enjoy being part of a team.

While I have a background in mechanical engineering, I’m more interested in practical work and being helpful however I can, whether that’s outdoors, in the kitchen, or just lending a hand where it’s needed.

While living in Campbell River, I started cold dipping in the ocean and it’s become something I really enjoy. I find it cool to witness my breathing slow down and my body go into this state where I feel a fear that's so primitive beg me to escape while I stand there and observe. I find it calming in this way and healing for my body and my thoughts. Perhaps the word I'm looking for is intimate, vulnerable yet safe. I’ve also explored rock climbing this summer and I liked the type of high stress thinking and communication it entails. I also got into surfing which has been challenging but very, very, rewarding. I like the feeling of the sun on my face and the cold water and it's rocking waves. I’ve gone skydiving in the past, which was incredible and gave me a new sense of perspective of my small place in the world from a birds eye view. Overall, I enjoy being outside, especially solo camping or going on long hikes. Being in nature helps me slow down, stay present, and reflect.

I like to write about where I go and what I learn. I’m drawn to moments of stillness, listening, and paying attention, and I try to be a learner wherever I am. My mom is a teacher, and maybe that rubbed off on me a little, I like spending time with people, especially younger ones, and helping make life feel a bit lighter. I’m close with my 14-year-old brother and I care a lot about being a steady, trustworthy presence for him.

I’m open-minded, curious, and always up for learning new ways of living, working, and sharing space.
