Hello :)
I’m Miro, 31 years old from Switzerland. With a background in Health Sciences and Technology, I’ve spent the past few years in a role focused on connecting people: listening to different needs, mediating between perspectives, and turning ideas into practical solutions – work that ultimately contributed to the development of hearing aids.

I’ve also gained experience in community and social settings through my volunteerings (see below), civil service in nursing homes, as a teaching assistant, and as team lead of a student association at my univeristy. These roles showed me how rewarding it is to dedicate time and energy to others and how much I can learn in return.

I’m motivated to take part in different kinds of projects – whether in sustainability projects/environmental protection, education, animal welfare or community work. I’m fluent in German and English, have basic knowledge in Spanish (~B1), which I’d love to improve while volunteering.

I am available for both short- and long-term stays, and I’m excited to learn, contribute, and share experiences along the way.

My volunteering projects on my travel through South America so far:
- Coaching English to the staff (young adults) at an Amazon logde in the selva of Peru. Mostly conversational English with their tour guides, waiters, receptionists and managers. 06/07/2026 - 26/07/2026
- Participation of a project (Colombian NGO) that uses sustainable tourism to support peace in areas affected by armed conflict (Cauca). It helps victims, former combatants, and communities with few possibilities by creating opportunities in tourism, language learning and cultural exchange. 08/03/2026 - 26/03/2026
- Teaching English to local kids of Minca (Colombia), aged 7-14, including the development of the whole curriculum and learning materials. 27/12/2025 - 31/01/2026

Experience developing hearing aids, focusing on connecting stakeholders, understanding needs, and turning them into practical solutions.
