  • Description

Hi! My name is Mirabel and I am 26 years old. I was born in Vancouver and grew up in Ontario. I have spent the last four years living nomadically, thanks to volunteer exchanges! This journey has brought me to BC, to South America to Alberta to Montreal and back to BC again... to Europe, to Israel, and now, back in BC. Ready for the next journey, really feeling into what that is for me.

I am independent, nurturing, self-motivated, eager to learn, introspective, compassionate, inquisitive, an explorer of life's depths, and a seeker of movement and change. I enjoy seeking diamonds in the rough, finding the spaces that feel most nourishing to me. I try my best to use my heart's compass as my north star, striving to be unapologetically me in all that I do. I like to listen and observe. I am doing my best to catch the crest of life's waves, syncing with its rhythms, or rather learning how... I know there is so much out there to explore, and I am just figuring it out as I go! So much to see and nothing / nowhere I HAVE to be. This to me, is what it is to be free!

I really like singing and playing guitar, as well as writing: poetry is my specialty! I like being fed and feeding others. I like campfires, exploring different cultures and cuisines, nature, hiking (!), TRAVELLING (of course), biking, colouring, sound tools, perusing markets, exploring my mind... I like to connect with new people and try new things. I value silence and solitude - I will never turn down a retreat! I like to be active and moving. I love yoga, pilates, dance... I value stillness, and rest, too. I've always had a fascination with stones, collecting them [gifting them at times too, if the stone tells me it belongs to you ;)] and I love listening to stories. I enjoy the expansiveness of the mountains, the songs of the waterfalls. In an odd way, I'm learning to love the heartbreak of life. I am fascinated by human design, astrology, astrogeography, and other tools that help to understand myself and other human beings better, even if it's just by the slightest bit.

I try not to put myself in any boxes - I simply wear the hat that I choose to wear in any given period, knowing I can always take it off and put on another one! A wearer of many hats indeed.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile, I look forward to connecting further!

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked many customer service positions, from gyms to car dealerships. I have worked in childminding centers, landscaping companies, clothing stores, restaurants, bars. I have volunteered on home fronts, caring for children (newborn+) and families and pets, cooking meals, tending to the spaces. I have managed air bnb properties, welcoming guests and turning over rooms. I have volunteered in sacred medicine spaces, tending to retreat guests by way of cooking as head chef, following very specific dietary guidelines, leading breathwork sessions, contributing songs and 1:1 support to ceremony spaces. I have offered stone therapy, as well as human design and astrogeography readings. I have developed websites, written stories, created a blog. I have designed business cards, posters for markets alike. I have tended to gardens and animals and yoga studios. I have done quite a bit of landscaping work - weeding, clearing forests, cleaning up spaces, planting, irrigation, fertilizing, making fires, among other things... I have been a part of fixer-up type projects, clearing, transforming, organizing, and painting spaces. I have worked at a bed and breakfast. I have helped process meat, and I have prepared jams & preserves from start to finish. I spent some time on a lodge helping with horses & trail rides. I have done lots of housekeeping and many odd jobs. I am always able to find what works for me!!

Language has never been a barrier for childcare - I have watched children who only speak Hebrew, French, Spanish, while only knowing a few basic words myself. Of course it is nice to have the whole range of vocabulary, and can make certain moments easier... but I will say that my biggest takeaway from these experiences is that there exists another pathway to forming meaningful connection and bonds, which is a feeling of the heart.. I believe this is one of my gifts, particularly with kids - no language needed!

I have been in the most remote of spaces to the busiest of places. -40° snowstorms to 40° humidity. Living as close to nature as you can get without any structures in sight, to the most beautiful properties you could imagine! I like to believe that I am quite adaptable (or rather, the human body is!). I will say that the middle of nowhere type places typically speak to me most, I'm not a huge city girl (only in small doses) - although I know there is a place for it all! I will always appreciate a nature retreat.

I took French immersion all throughout elementary school and high school (I understand it well, and being in France recently helped). I picked up some Spanish during my time in South America, and some Hebrew during my time in Israel.

  • Autres infos...

I would love to learn about sailing or perhaps live on a boat... I would also love to try harvesting olives, perhaps learning how to make olive oil or something of the sort!

I do not drink or smoke. I am typically quite flexible with my travel dates, as I like to be able to feel it out as I go. So if you like structure or need an exact timeline, let it be known that I am much more go with the flow, which doesn't always allow for me to lock in a specific period of time.

I like to leave space for changing my mind - if something isn't working out, I will be honest about this, and I hope you are too :)

I have much to share, and I am eager for my next adventure!!

I will really eat anything, but tend to gravitate mostly towards real, whole foods - fruits, veg, fish, and meat on occasion. If I find something I like, I am happy to eat it over and over again. I'm not picky!
