Hi there!
My name is Maurice, 35 years old and I´m from Germany. I studied International Torusim Management in the Netherlands and afterwards headed to Hamburg, Germany for my internship. 5 years later I finally realized that I´m not an office-person and hence decided to go travelling the world to focus on one of my biggest passions: coffee! I travelled through Uganda, Ethiopia, South East Asia, Taiwan, Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii and did quite some workaways during my journey. For more than three years now, I´m running a specialty coffee shop in Hamburg and love my job as a barista, host and business owner.

For me it has always been difficult to stay at one place for a longer period. So I was always looking forward to the next trip in order to escape from daily life. Since I´m running a café it became more difficult to travel for a longer period. At the moment I´m structuring the business, so that Im able to escape for a couple of months beginning 2025, while the café is still running.

I´m an adventurous person and Iove to spend time in nature - either for hiking or camping in the middle of nowhere. I do bouldering, skating, swimming and some surfing or kite-surfing, what however needs some more training ;). Further I like to spend time with friends and meet new people but also enjoy doing things on my own :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I´m good at DIY things - I´ve already built some furniture and a complete kitchen from pallets. So I would say I have some sense for interior and design. Further I´m able to help with general maintenance tasks. I´ve studied International Tourism Management and worked in tourism for the last 4 years. Further I did some internships at hotels in Morocco, Curaçao and Germany in the past. Hence, I´ve gathered quite some experience in the industry, that I´m happy to share. Additionally, I´m working in a café as a Barista and really love to make people happy with my smile and good coffee.
