Description

Tara:
I am a singer and voice teacher and my passion is connecting with people through music and helping others feel free to express themselves using their voices. I love feeling useful and finding my place in communities through work. I was born in Ecuador to and Iranian father and American mother, and a big part of my life is now exploring my cultural heritage and processing it through my music and performances.

Martin:
I am a theater and film director from Budapest Hungary, and I now live in New York City, where I am doing an MFA in Film Directing. I love collaborating with others, learning new skills, and working with my hands. One of my passions is going to new places and imagining my life there, how it would change me, and how I would both keep my identity and adjust my identity to become part of that place. My work in theater and film centers on telling stories that do not have a clear hero or villain, and that asks the audience to define those things for themselves.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Tara:
I am a professional classical singer and music teacher, and have a certificate in teaching English (which I have never done, but I am happy to try!). I am also an enthusiastic gardener and have experience working with groups of children and teenagers in making theater productions together. In addition to any kind of more simple physical or teaching volunteer work, I could help develop creative curriculums for language schools, help train beginning teachers, and give theatrical or musical workshops for participants of any age!

I am also very curious about learning about permaculture and medicinal plants, and I would like to improve my Spanish, so I am happy to assist in any activity where I can help others practice English or French, and/or speak in Spanish.

Martin:
I am a theater and film director. I could help edit films or commercials, give advice about creative direction for projects, and lead creative workshops. I am good at basic maintenance and construction, and have a lot of pleasure from fixing something that was broken. I would like to learn more about construction, permaculture, environmentally friendly building and farming practices. I am also a beginning Spanish learner, and I would like to gain confidence and knowledge speaking this beautiful language.
