Hey there 👋

I'm Maria, an experienced traveler always trying to find new and exciting ways to see the world.

I'm an incredibly adventurous, outgoing, and active person but also need to have alone time too. I'm always trying to get the best view of nature, whether that means hiking, biking, kayaking, etc.

I'm a photographer and travel blogger. I specialize in writing about slow traveling/how to get off the beaten tourist path.

I love seeing untouched parts of the world, (the Balkans region is my favorite place, especially Albania). I'm usually happiest when I find myself far away from touristy places.

I want to dive deep to understand a place. My fondest memories of past adventures are when I try local food, meet local people and learn cultural traditions.

I look for Workaway projects where I can learn and get to know you as I help out. I love hosts that can take me in and treat me like family!

Full driver's license and experience in driving small to large vehicles. Has worked in university admissions office, sea turtle conservation, and sport management. Holds a Bachelors's and Masters's in sport management and development.
