Les activités qui nous intéressent :
We have traveled with workaway trough Europe, Asia, North and South America. Right now we are in Peru, after Peru our plan is to also travel towards Bolivia and maybe Paraguay.
Description
We are Steijn and Flo, a couple from the Netherlands. We are traveling since may 2021. We like working outdoors the most, with animals or on the land. In Europe we got some experience at different farms while we enjoyed the local lifestyle and culture.
We volunteered for 3 months at a ranch in the countryside of Croatia. The ranch had horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats and a vegetable garden where we cared for. In Greece we volunteered for 2 months at an organic olive farm where we harvested olives on mountain groves.
Around February 2022 we went to Asia. In Thailand we volunteered in the jungle where we builded houses from bamboo with the locals. In Cambodia we lived for 2 weeks at a fishing village where we cleaned beaches, in Laos we teached English for 2 weeks and in India we helped out at a farmstay for one month.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My name is Steijn (35) and I have been cooking proffesionaly for the last 4 years. I graduated cooking education and before we went traveling I was working for a small Italian Bistro in Maastricht.
Before I started to become a chef I worked in construction since my 16th and did this every summer for 4 years. After this I went to school to become a restorer/decorator/painter but sadly after my graduation there where no jobs in this field. (I did try my best to maintain my skills).
During my first full-time job as a industrial grinder I went to night school in Belgium to learn furniture building. I finished the first year succesfully so I can built tables and chairs but because I moved to another city I haven't learnt how to make cabinet doors and drawers.
During my time as a temp-worker I also worked as a roofer and an electrician and a bit of gardening.
Hello, my name is Flo (28). I have a degree in Fine Arts, experience in hospitality and experience with horses.
I started riding when I was 8 at an English stable. When I was 17 I worked for a natural horsemanship stable and last year I worked with horses again at a western ranch.
When I went to art school I stopped riding horses for a few years and focussed on contemporary art. I love to paint whole spaces (floor, walls, ceiling) so you can move trough the abstract composition. My paintings also meet sculpture in a way since I worked a lot with hardening materials like plaster, epoxy and cement.
After art school I worked in hospitallity. Bars/restaurants/big events. In the end I worked in a fine dining restaurant as hostess.
I know how to work hard, taking initiative, I'm very curious for learning new things and get out of my comfort zone. Most of all I love working outside on the land and/or with animals so I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty or do hard physical work.
