Hey there, Kalanisto, Susadei, Yassou, Hola etc! Lovely to (virtually) meet you and welcome to my little corner of Workaway..
I'm Lou, a poet/writer from Manchester, England. I'm of Irish heritage, so the travelling spirit is firmly engrained within me. I'm currently on a journey to explore this by following my natural flow and rhythm by intuitively travelling, staying as long as I feel in each place and working as I go. Workaway is the perfect opportunity for me to be useful and helpful in some way, whilst meeting locals and experiencing their kind hospitality. I really believe that by travelling we can all become kinder, open human begins.
So more about my experience.. I have worked many jobs. Server, cleaner, retail supervisor, makeup artist, volunteer at an NGO, social media promoter, marketer, publishing assistant, writer, TEFL teacher, Journalist, spa attendant, dance teacher, so I have a wealth of experience across different fields. I'm eager to learn, try new experiences and be present. I understand that the cultural exchange and generosity offered by Workaway hosts, should be in exchange for hard work.
Since graduating two years ago, my sole purpose has been to travel. I have been to beautiful places and had amazing experiences, but my goals have shifted to stay in each place a while longer, breathe into the surroundings more and famarilise myself with the sense of community. Staying long enough in a place to have a favourite local cafe spot (especially for a coffee lover) isn't a bad idea either!
