Hello there :) I am Lily, 22 years old and from Germany.

I currently live in Berlin, where I study art history and cultural anthropology. I love living in Berlin, but just as much as I love it, I enjoy traveling and discovering new places!

After graduating from high school, I traveled through the U.S. for a few months. After that, I spent a month in Paris with a host from Workaway for the first time and had an amazing experience. Ever since then, I’ve enjoyed taking short trips here and there. However, since I’m a student, my budget is very limited. So, I thought, why not try Workaway again? I find it to be a great opportunity to get to know a place through the eyes of a local. I love not only discovering new places but also having a small task to do every day, which gives me a sense of a new and different routine for a little while :).

I would describe myself as an open-minded, easy-going, creative, and organized person, as well as an animal lover (which is why I am a vegetarian) who loves to face new challenges. I also love to cook!

I speak English and German fluently and have a B2 level in Italian.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

On one hand, my work experience involves working with children and animals. I have been babysitting for about five years now, with experience caring for children from different families and of various ages (4-13 years old). Additionally, I have been tutoring kids in English and German at my school for about two years. I’ve also been pet-sitting for neighbors, mostly cats and dogs!

On the other hand, I worked in a café for a year, at a COVID test center for a few weeks and an interior design shop for a few months. So, I would say I am skilled in gastronomy, able to handle difficult situations, enjoy customer interaction, and also gained some computer skills.

At home, I enjoy working in our garden, though my skills here are still developing. I also really enjoy cooking and engaging in all kinds of creative activities that require using my hands.
