Hey there! I’m Liliana, but you can call me Lily. I’m a 28 year old based in Lisbon, Portugal.

For the past 2 years I have worked as a Languages, History and Philosophy teacher and tutor while doing a master's in Comparative Literature. I have also worked as a bookseller, a hostel reception assistant and a tour guide.

In my free time, I like to read, write, meditate, cook, and take care of my little garden. Nature is my sanctuary; so spending time connecting with it is a need, whether by exploring mountains and waterfalls or hanging out by the sea.
Yoga, Acroyoga, and Tai Chi are my go-to activities to keep both my body and mind in harmony, but occasionally I try to engage in other sports. One day I would like to learn how to surf!

I'm a joyful and outgoing person, but I also value quiet time and contemplation to reflect and recharge. I believe in the importance of introspection to truly understand ourselves and the world around us. Thus, while I appreciate the occasional night out for drinks and dancing, I also crave deep conversations about life and philosophy. Perhaps one of the secrets to life is finding a balance between these aspects, since both are so important to feed our souls and spice up our lives. Nevertheless, engaging in meaningful dialogues where I find true connection.

Since the school and academic year ended I am looking for new adventures to nourish my spirit. Thus, I am looking for opportunities aligned with my interests that would allow me to gain experience while getting to discover more of Italy during the summer. I worked in Filicudi during June, and right now I'm in Avelino, searching for something in the south.

As a Lisbon native, I have a deep affinity for the sea; so it would be amazing to find something in a coastal town. It might also be worth mentioning that I speak Italian and have previous experience living in Italy, having studied abroad in Florence back in 2018.

I'm excited about the possibility of discovering a new place and connect with like-minded souls. So I do hope I get to find some opportunities to meet interesting places and people here. I have been teaching English and Portuguese for about 10 years. European Portuguese is my mother tongue, and it English is just as close. I have been learning English since I was 8 years old and have concluded the C2 level upon finishing my Bachelor's in Languages, Literature and Culture back in 2022. I have taught many different people: children, teenagers, and adults in all kinds of situations. This experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to each student's abilities and needs.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have nearly a decade of experience working as a language, literature, history, and philosophy teacher and tutor to both children and adults. Having a lot of experience with children I can also provide childcare services such as babysitting.

With my hostel and tour guide experience, I am also familiar with hospitality and thus have great social skills with a natural ability to create a welcoming and friendly environment for guests.

And thanks to my love for nature and animals I also have some knowledge regarding these areas. So I am also open to jobs related to them, whether it be gardening, farming, petsitting or volunteering at animal shelters.

Another passion of mine is cooking, and would love to learn more about italian cuisine. My speciality is vegetarian meals, but I can also cook meat if you need to.
