Hi! My name is Léna, I’m from France 🇫🇷

I’m coming to Western Canada for 4 months with a working holiday visa before starting a Master’s degree in Quebec in September.
I love traveling and being active. I really enjoy sports and I also love music ! I like discovering new places and new ways of living.
I also really love animals , I have a cocker spaniel and two cats at home in France !
I have an intermediate level in English: I can communicate, but I still find it challenging, so I would love to do volunteering to discover new cultures, learn new skills, and especially improve my English.
I’m very motivated and willing to help. My parents are restaurant owners, so I’m comfortable with cooking and helping in the kitchen. I’m also creative and I learn very quickly.
I’m really looking forward to sharing experiences and helping as much as I can 😊

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up with animals and currently have a cocker spaniel and two cats, so I’m used to taking care of them every day (feeding, cleaning, walking…). My dog is very energetic, so I enjoy going on hikes and runs with him, and I feel comfortable around active animals.

I also enjoy working outdoors. I’ve helped with gardening tasks like mowing, weeding and general yard maintenance. I’m not an expert, but I’m motivated and I learn quickly. I can do basic DIY (using tools, drilling, fixing things), and I’m always happy to learn more.

I’m very comfortable with cleaning and housekeeping. I worked in a nursing home where I was responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, so I’m used to working properly and efficiently.

Cooking is also something I really enjoy. My parents own a restaurant, and I worked there, mainly preparing desserts and helping in the kitchen. I’m confident cooking for several people.

I’m very active and enjoy physical work. I’ve done different sports like football, swimming, tennis, gym, and now I’m getting into running.
I also have a driver’s license and I’m quite independent.
I also have a degree in law. Even if it’s not directly related to Workaway, it shows that I am organized, serious and detail-oriented.

Even if I can be a bit shy at first, I am always smiling, I love learning new things, and I adapt quickly to new environments 😊
