Wandering around new cities and towns or castles, climbing (mostly bouldering), eating good food/drinking good coffee or tea, general adventuring.

Description

Hello! We are Kauri and Ovi, travelers and adventurers.

Ovi is an energetic and social 6 year old. She loves to talk and play with new friends, dance, and explore new places (especially if there's water nearby).

I (Kauri/mom) also love to explore, especially if involves some hiking and climbing. I work remotely about 30 hours a week in accounting and marketing, with a bit of software testing thrown in for good measure. I like to cook/bake, play music, and learn new things. Lately I've been (re)learning yoga, and focusing a more on taking care of my physical and mental wellbeing

We've done a few Workaways now, and our favorite times are when there have been other volunteers to join in the fun! We loved volunteering in a hostel reception, working with other volunteers to dig holes for an art project, and being welcomed into new families.

I really value the sense of community I have felt during workaway stays. I have been working more hours lately, making it harder to balance working with volunteering 4-5 hours a day, but I still love the idea of participating in workaway projects and communities. I am interested in the idea of pitching in a bit monetarily and volunteering fewer hours.

And, as always, there's a huge bonus if there are other kids around for Ovi to play with, or a good amount of nature she can run wild in.
