Hey, I'm Katrina :)

I keep coming back to workaway (since 2016!) because I love travelling solo and spending that time for myself, but I also love getting an 'in' to living locally and taking part in local projects, initiatives or interests. I enjoy experiencing a place over time, and appreciating the small things. I have been doing exactly this, living in Wollongong in the beautiful Illawarra region, since coming to Australia 6 months ago. Now it's time for be to spread my wings a bit more, I would love to see other sides of Australia through meeting new people in new places.

I work with children and have had the honour here in Australia to work at an awesome bush program.

I like spending time outdoors walking, or bringing a small creative project to sit and work on.

I have spent some time this past year learning knot tying, weaving, and simple sewing skills that is a very simple and meditative practice for me.

I am an easy going and considerate person who is looking to develop myself and gain skills so I can help others too.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have qualification and experience in early childhood education with children 1-6 years of age.

I have worked on permaculture projects in Canada, India, Nepal, and Borneo, including construction, gardening, and general labour. I don't mind hard work or getting my hands dirty, in fact it's a kind of fun.

I've worked as a tour guide at a nature resort which involves serving guests, and taking them hiking, river rafting, kayaking, abseiling, and rock climbing.
