Description
Hi!! I’m Julia, I love meeting new people, exploring new places and things and learning about anything from neuroscience to new recipes, plants, and languages. I appreciate the opportunity to pick up new skills, which is one of the main reasons I’m on Workaway.
I enjoy being outside, and I’m pretty active. I like hiking, rock climbing, reading, writing, swimming, cooking, playing guitar, singing, drawing, working with kids, planning things, photography, and I love gardening…I’ve spent most of my summers outside around my parents flower nursery where they have 14 large greenhouses, a retail store, a community garden, a small orchard, barn and chicken coop. I am used to a bustling atmosphere that is fast paced. I have also planted trees for a summer so my camping tolerance is up to 4 months.
I don’t mind getting my hands dirty, and I’ll try my best when I’m new to a task or skill. I enjoy creative work, or DIY tasks like fixing furniture, painting, and decorating.
I come from a large family (6 kids), so I’m good with people and I’m used to watching over/having a good time with kids. I also have lots of experience with kids in the classroom as a TA, babysitting, and tutoring. Generally, I enjoy working with people in a sociable and welcoming environment.
Some skills I would like to learn are; sailing, surfing, climbing (outdoors), mountain biking and adventure sports in general. I would love to gain knowledge in music, specifically classical guitar. I would like to learn French, Spanish and Italian. I would like to write, read and learn when I have free time!
I would like to spend up to 2 months doing workaway (s) this summer as a change of scenery… I’ve been living in Florence, Italy to study goldsmithing as I pursue a Master in Art.
I have an EU citizenship for work positions.Centres d’intérêt

We appreciate her friendly, thoughtful presence. We are happy to recommend her to any future host!
Istanbul is such a huge city and it was helpful to stay with a local who could give me tips on things to check out or be wary of.
Overall, I would recommend Fe as a host!
I stayed for about 3 weeks and usually I would help drop the kids off for day camp around 9 and pick them up at 1pm. I would also help with meals, or occasional cleaning but mainly I would spend time with the kids.
We stayed in a small village that is accessible to other areas in the Dolomites by bus,… read more
