I was only able to stay at Al's place for a short time, but it was still a great experience for me. I loved that we started each day with a yoga/meditation session. The work was physical but not overly demanding. Lots of tasks to be completed around the house/property to bring things back to life. I felt like I was given a lot of autonomy and… read more

Joshua is a pleasure to host, he is quiet, cooperative and helpfull, he joined in all the tasks and preformed his duties well, josh got on well with his fellow travelers and is not afraid of hard work, we appreciate his contribution and wish him well.

Volunteering at the farm was exactly the type of experience I was hoping for, and it's easily one of the most fulfilling and meaningful exchanges I've ever done.

Josh was an amazing volunteer!!! We worked him hard and he took it in his stride, and with enthusiasm.He worked on his own initiative which is invaluable to us, and we would take him back in a heartbeat. Any host would be lucky to have him.

My time at Anna's was incredibly peaceful. I helped her to prepare her gardens/grounds for winter, so the work wasn't that strenuous, but it felt great to be outside in such a beautiful natural setting. Her dog and cats instantly won my heart—they were so affectionate and playful, and it always put a smile on my face to see them nearby. Oh and the… read more

I had the pleasure to meet and host Josh in November. We were lucky with the weather and he helped me a lot with preparing my garden for winter. My time at the shelter was incredibly meaningful. Helping to care for and support the dogs made me feel super motivated, and once I started making connections with them, my motivation became even stronger.
