Hello future hosts!

My name is Jess and I am a 30 year old Australian girl currently in Italy on a working holiday visa. I chose this adventure to reconnect with my cultural heritage and to improve my Italian language skills. I am currently completing my second AuPair position in Bologna with a 9 year old child, whilst my first AuPair position was in Cervia where I cared for and taught a 3 year old child English through play. I am looking for my next position starting from March 2026- July 2026.

I studied nursing at university and have 7 years of professional experience in the workplace- primarily working with adults but I have also spent some time working with children. I am responsible, caring, and adaptable.

I am interested in continuing to learn Italian, learning the piano- I started lessons a few years ago as an adult, playing board games, and connecting with people from other cultures. I also like swimming, being outside in nature and I love Italian cuisine.

In 2024 I studied an intensive 12-week Italian language course in Bologna where I completed level B1 grammar. I'd now like to improve my language skills with real life immersion through conversation. After experiencing first hand the challenge of learning a new language, it would be a pleasure to share my native English with those seeking to learn.
