Description
Hi! My name is Jess:) After I did a semester in St Thomas, I realized how much I love long-term travel. I spent a summer in Hawaii and backpacked through SE Asia. Over the past 2 years I've lived 6 different US states. I spent the last year on WHV in Australia and am excited to do the same in NZ!
I'm an occupational therapist by trade so very experienced in elder and child care. I'm very into spirituality and self-development- reading, yoga, meditation. I love experiencing different eastern religions, I did a meditation retreat in Thailand and certified in Reiki in Bali and Sedona US. I'm also (mostly) vegan and like to eat healthy.
I've done work exchanges in Hawaii and Australia which have included child care and working at a retreat/hotel doing housekeeping/cooking/gardening. I'm excited to do more workaways in NZ to meet locals and experience the culture. I am willing to give anything a try and always want to make sure all tasks are completed! I recently got an online job as an OT doing online zoom sessions. I currently work part time and would love to still have the opportunity to do a work exchange.
I'm looking forward to meeting people from all over the world and making new memories!
