Hello,
It's great having these opportunities -- to visit new places, meet people, learn a little of new languages and about other cultures.
My name is Issa. I am a
writer

and attorney (civil rights, intellectual property) in the Washington, DC area in the United States.
Before law, I worked as a biomedical and computer applications engineer, and did some research with a hospital. On the food side, I decided to eat only vegetarian food, and since have learned a few simple things about cooking, and enjoying it.
I very much enjoy being around and working with others; also writing, the outdoors, kids (coached soccer in the past), and for sure traveling. I would like to help (and learn) with gardening, farming, restoration and renovation of old or damaged sites. I can also teach if needed (English, or other subjects).

I stayed with Iole and Burno’s for about one week. It was a tremendous week, even though it was short. The family is incredible… kind, hospitable, giving; and the area is beautiful (mountains, chestnuts, apples, pears, plums, a stream, stone houses...). We collected apples, and a few other fruits, and did a bit of renovating a nearby small house… read more

I spent about two weeks in late April-early May there, enjoyed the stay, the work, and the area. This camp, near Dugadda, is a great place for some quiet time without being too far from common conveniences.
