Hey there! My name is Isaura and I'm a 22 year old student from Brussels currently taking a gap year. I am unfortunately part of that generation which graduated during the Covid 19 pandemic, after which I was supposed to travel through Latin America and do volunteer work. Of course, those plans fell through. My passion for traveling and volunteering has however not disappeared, which is why I decided to join Workaway!
I am a social and outgoing person, who is very curious and always eager to learn new skills. I hope that Workaway will aid me in my search for the best travel destinations :)

I have always loved learning new languages as well as teaching them. I am fluent in Dutch (mother tongue) and English (language of university) and could certainly teach these languages to for example kids. I also speak French quite fluently as I am from Brussels. Furthermore, my dad is German so I can speak some German, but am not very fluent at it. Lastly, I have taken Spanish for a few years and currently have a level A2, which I would definitely like to improve! I would also really like to learn Italian and perhaps Portuguese.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I speak Dutch, English and French as well as some German and a bit of Spanish. I have had many student jobs, from babysitting over waitressing and dishwashing to sales. I have done volunteering at several places/ngos as well as various forms of political activism.
I would describe myself as very friendly and caring. I am also hardworking, curious and always eager to learn, so I usually don't have much trouble picking up a new skill :)
